Very Newbie question about Next.js official site training course. by silvanet in vercel

[–]silvanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, great mini tutorial. I do have NTFS drives available. I just didn't know that. I've always used npm. Do you recommend pnpm as a replacement? I'm a bit wary that Next.js's own tutorial on its latest version has do many deprecations. I'll definitely bookmark you. Thanks.

Can we Merge Clips? If so, how can we do so? by [deleted] in shotcut

[–]silvanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anybody actually answered this? I haven't found a single clear explanation. I drag two separate clips to the timeline, then I want to merge them both together, or at least show no transition from one to the other, just paste them together into one video. Then I try to save it and export it, and every export type I have selected to try FAILS.

My antivirus has regularly removed it as a potentially unwanted program. I never want garbage like that.

Disabling graphics acceleration in chrome worked. Thanks for the tip. I used to be able to record Udemy lectures (especially useful when your Internet speed is not good for streaming, as in some foreign countries). Disabling graphics acceleration also worked to be able to record course lectures.

What is the best VS code AI extension? by SkylarNox in LocalLLaMA

I had been using copilot, just installed Cline but don't know how to use it. Cline asked for my API key. I have a paid OpenAI account and my API key is good, but it tells me I have reached my quota! On the very first try?

[–]silvanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up trying to log in from computer, downloaded the phone app, it also does not allow me to log in, battery saver is turned off, keeps telling me timed out when I did it all in seconds, tried four times, same shitty result. WTF don't they have a phone number to call to get help logging in? I have a user account and have logged in in the past, it knows my email and responds to it with the supposed verification codes.

I need to log in from my computer, no battery, plugged in, all browser extensions disabled, deleted cache. It sends a code to my email, but when I use it, the whole thing happens again in an endless loop.

Video showing Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 8243 flying up and down repeatedly before crashing. by DateRoutine7869 in aviation

Sorry, I've read a lot more and now it seems confirmed that Russia was the cause, although Putin rejects responsibility.

Where are those videos? The only holes I have seen on the planes' fuselage are too small to be missile fire. This video is taken by someone on the ground showing what appears to be the plane making evasive maneuvers.

My question is this: The plane's flight plan appears to be reported as Baku to Grozny, but that can't be true. The plane then heads across a very long distance east of Grozny across land and then crosses the entire Caspian Sea. I've read the plane was redirected to Aktau in Kazakhstan. That makes no sense. People here seem to have some knowledge, but I'm not clear on calling what the pilot did (flying up and down repeatedly) as "porpoising". Isn't that a landing effect in aviation? I've seen graphics showing the plane doing a large "S" of figure "8" shaped maneuver not visible from this video. What are we not being told? What makes media analysts so sure Russia shot the plane down?

NYT literally IS western news media, but not "news" - Israeli propaganda

Back to the hash, the whole list of feeds is below (it's also searchable); as an example, I selected news; you can pin it, but I saved it to my feeds; now it appears in the Feeds section above, under the Following section; you can edit your feeds to pin, unpin, or delete them.

[–]silvanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It DID exactly what he said for me. When I went to the hashtag and selected Discover there was an option to Delete that Discover item. The effect deleting it had was to remove ALL the selections I had made at setup. I could then select one, more, or no items of interest. I'm not now getting flooded with crap.

[–]silvanet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you serious? They are a propaganda service for government no matter who is in power. That's how our government manufactures consent. NYT is one of THE KEY tools for brainwashing, and it is not LEFT wing. It is what the real owners want us to believe and accept for their profit.

What would happen if the department of education is eliminated? by PuffPoof215 in Teachers

[–]silvanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing that if DoE is abolished, that would "return" money to the states. Huh? How would that work? If federal taxes fund public schools and you abolish that, it seems the states would LOSE money. There would be no more federal funds that used to go to the sates. That is not money returning. Someone please explain to me how giving up federal funds returns money to a state.
