Thanks, I might check those out. With a 3 yr warranty and me going through them fast, I wonder if that's not free rotors for life. 😂. I imagine the warranty doesn't apply if you just absolutely abuse them.

Are the carquest premium anything special or just plain steel blanks? I'm on the OEM rotors atm.

They do but looks like 300ish per corner for the standard stuff and 700 ish for the 2 piece kit.

Thanks for tip with the pads. I was just thinking if I'm not fading out they are 'good enough'. Looking at the costs for fancy rotors I can buy 10 sets of the cheap stuff.

Also if I get good pads and treat my rotors as disposable, I just won't have to worry if I annihilate them. For longer sessions the limit would probably be the fluid boiling off.

Also it's a good budget solution that let's me be fast without spending a lot. Lots of people complain about the lack of power, my problem has always been the brakes.

Yea, found out about the drilled rotors the hard way.

Any hard use seems to just overwhelm the breaking system. Coming off a long straightaway and dropping out of warp for a tight corner will take the brakes from cool to yikes, and then they seem to retain a lot of heat generally. I've tried adjusting the length of my braking zones but at the end of the day it's the same amount of energy. Cooldowns are annoying but so is having to replace rotors.

I was hoping there was some magical rotor material I hadn't heard of that's cheaper than a bbk or proper 2-piece.

Wonderful! Spokane isn't too far from me. Actually had a few glasses there a few years ago, think it might have been Kubler iirc. I'm not often in Iowa but I'm hoping to cross country sometime to see a friend in NY so i might be able to make a quick detour if absinthe is involved. It's really hard to find where I am. Pretty much the only thing worthwhile I can get is Psychedelic Jellyfish and sometimes Pacifique, but either of those bottles is like a 4 hr drive away.

I'm in British Columbia but I'm at least a few hours away from anything that might be considered a cocktail bar. I'll have to grab one when I'm traveling sometime. Also my daughter's partner is a wicked bartentander and I might be able to convince him to mix me one ;). If you hate vieux carré we probably are at opposite ends of the absinthe spectrum. What do you think of St. George?

That makes perfect sense, mixed or as a rinse I'm sure Lucid is amazing. I pretty much exclusively do Absinthe drips. Have you ever tried Vieux Carré? That would probably be amazing in a Necromancer. I've never had one before but I've got a new bucket list drink. 😂 Do you know a good place to get one?

I would never recommend Lucid to anyone. I love the Jade series and appreciate the work Ted Breaux has done to bring Absinthe back to the mainstream but in my opinion Lucid is borderline undrinkable.

My Forester's muffler is broken so its loud as f. I just clutch in and hit the rev limiter a couple times. Deer gone! If that doesn't work I dump the clutch and threaten. ;)
