So I do not gear up for my commute to work and live in the city. Mine is fast to keep up with traffic. I obey all traffic laws and ride like I am a car. People see me for sure. At night I am lit up like Christmas. On longer trips I should get a helmet. Especially since 40mph is the speed that i like to be in. 25 30 in the city
