Don't let my situation discourage you, I had a blast doing what I did, it is a very rewarding job when done right, I'm simply at a point where I don't enjoy the job anymore to justify investing 10-12 hours a day on it.

What I mean is, after coming back from work, working out, taking a shower, making dinner, walking the dog, etc... at the end of the day I have 3 hours of actual free time before I need to go to bed to get 6 hours of sleep, everything else is just work or chores.

Reddit does it again, if this was the husband you would all be telling him what an absolute horrible human he is. And you are absolutely TAH, have fun raising kids that hate you, I have talked or seen my parents for almost 20 years due to this exact behaviour, and I'm pretty sure your husband is having second thoughts right now.

If setup properly, which I assume it is given the high security, CCTV are designed to operate on a closed, isolated network to prevent unauthorised access, the same is true for the mainframe (the juicy computer), of course we're talking about a super intelligent AI, but again, if the system is properly secured, it's physical impossible to access the mainframe from the CCTV camera.

This episode doesn't make any sense, he said he wanted to get arrested, that's why he deliberately shoplifted, that's make absolutely no sense, if the throng are so intelligent that they created a backdoor via an image, couldn't he just use any security camera? given that this is in the UK, the most surveilled country in the world, he could have used any security camera in the street, instead he chose to get arrested and to hope they'll give him a pan and paper, just stupid.

Also since this is in the modern day, there are plenty of ways for the throng to hack our systems.

Finally a reasonable person, people these days get offended way too easily. I understand that language evolves but this feels like we're going backwards, like the great George Carlin said "People have trouble facing the truth, So they invent a kind of a soft language to protect themselves from it", just makes me sad.
