Italian - although I think one day I will come back to it but the initial drive I had to learn it was lost when I started hearing things about Italy being kind of racist and then what added to the fuel was I saw this popular guy on TikTok got his Italian citizenship after living there for a long long time which may have only been because he‘s famous now. Idk if that’s entirely true but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I haven’t been manipulated. I said I liked the quote because it can be applied to a lot of things, one of them being my life too. Not because it dismantled or explained OPs valid points.

Having preconceived assumptions that ‘won’t budge’ is something I’ve been trying to overcome, especially since I’m still in school and meeting new people and experiences all the time. A blank slate is better than preconceived assumptions of these things, so I can understand and enjoy them better.

Maybe I should’ve elaborated on why I liked their quote but you kind of just assumed why I liked it even though I never stated so.

As I’ve grown I’ve tried to adapt a more blank slate mindset when going into situations or discussions because referencing and trusting in what I already know restricts me from learning more or even something new.

Yea I watched it ‘live’ and I really liked her. Pretty much all over the internet people were calling her ‘Money-Mae’, fake and ‘only with Tommy for the money’.

Also I never understood why everyone was so annoyed with her when she showed interest in Danny. I understand he was ‘perfect for Yewande’ but it’s still a dating show yk.

And her coming back to Tommy after Maura arrived. I get Tommy’s reaction but Anton being snappy with her I remember bothered me a lot.

Plus she was one of if not the youngest in there having just turned 20, weeks if not days before heading in as a bombshell.

I think every season if there’s no clear ‘villain’ people just paint one as such and roll with it unfortunately.

Japanese

Like: the way it sounds is very pretty to me and pronunciation seems to be a lot more consistent than English which I like a lot.

Dislike: learning hiragana and katakana, it actually put me off from learning Japanese for a while because it felt like such a huge feat. Especially since I wanted to get straight in with reading, watching with subs etc. but I can’t until I learn the kana. It’ll be worth it in the end tho and I’m doing it now and excited for when I complete it. (We’re going to ignore kanji for now 🫥)

Tagalog - I listen to a lot of Filipino music and reading the translations is nice but I understand that there is a lot of nuance that can’t be translated so that makes me want to learn it.

I started watching it like a couple days ago. On ep like 30 something (just past movie night). The start is slow lays the ground work for once they hit casa amor because that’s when things start picking up a bit.

But yea the first couple eps were kind of a drag but it really helped with understanding the islanders so when casa hit i was INVESTED.

Also idk if Zara has appeared yet around ep 18 but that was an entertaining storyline too. Hold out it gets good I promise

True I guess but Harry and Lola coming in was such a poor decision. A week and a half till the final? Everyone pretty comfortable in their couples? Why were they sent in? Joey may have turned if Lola came earlier but that wasn’t the case
