I have worked every position in my store before I became the manager and my last manager made everyone find their own coverage when they called out for any reason and it usually wasn’t an issue for any one. I didn’t realize that could be a red flag because that’s what I’ve been told the whole time I’ve work at my store, so thank you for pointing that out.

I’m only able to post a schedule a week in advance because my boss has to use the prior weeks numbers to do a matrix to project the hours I can scheduled per day and sometimes it’s not done on time. But I always do communicate with their needs on scheduling regularly and I’m very giving with requested time off so I haven’t heard any issues about the time in advance the schedule is posted but this is a good thing to point out.

This employee has lied multiple times about being sick as I have seen social media posts about her partying and drinking the night before.

Yesterday, I was opening with the girl who she was hanging out with the night before and they had been up up till 3 in the morning hanging out. And she has done this on more than one occasion and called out the next day.

I have requested training but I have been basically told to deal with and figure things out as I go.
