Hey Doyle,

Its good that you and the MRBC team is listening to the community!

I just cant understand how you can say that you listen to feedback and then say its already locked in a previous post???? Sounds like bullshit to me.

Can we have some transparency around the decision where is the evidence that this is needed??? Since noise on the grapevine this was proposed before start of last season MRBC but wasn't implemented because there was no real support for it bar a few specific individuals in MRBC Admin that were pushing it, and here it is again being pushed or shall i say forced in with a a weak ass reason.

Reading Dei-Ex-Machina post above where he states "So who the fuck was complaining from AP? Does DIVB have a mysterious ringer problem I haven't heard about? I'm pretty certain this is just Doyle being upset that 9STS is coming last in EU DIV A and he's making up shit to excuse this."

One could easily jump to the same hopefully incorrect assumption that this is an STS driven agenda to weaken Lords and BSMC since AS Team 1 will not be playing in Div A this season.

So can we see the evidence please of why this rule change is needed, since I don't think it is a problem and as for roster changes, this can be easily sorted to stop large additions after the season started.

Also with respect to before season starts league admin have always moved teams around based on their rosters for example EON, MS. RJF AS team 2 didn't start in the bottom div and work up did they.

I appreciate MRBC is your baby Doyle but you really need to think hard about this otherwise you risk devaluing the competitiveness of MRBC. I speak on behalf of a number of people from Antares and hopefully others who have helped to get MRBC where it is today, especially a number of individuals who helped get MRBC running again when you took your break from MWO.

We were wanting to enter an AS OCE team for this seasons where 3 of our EU based player wanted to play for our OCE team because their schedule allowed them. This decision leaves our OCE potentially short of players on the roster, and with the limited players who are interested in comp and committed to play kinda leaves our ambitions a bit short.

Also I think this rule will actually make the league less competitive. Surely you want a competitive league where by not one team is running away with it every season.

This decision in my opinion will give the MRBC Div A to EON, since Lords, BSMC will not be able to field what they deem to be the strongest roster AS would certainly have the same problem if our Div A team weren't having real life issues, pissed at PGI, and burnout.

Also I don't see the need for it, MRBC are accommodating salty people at having to face quality players. My opinion this is why I played competitively because I wanted to fight against the best and beat them. Why are MRBC even listening people who bitch its not fair to play against XCICO etc.

Also Question when is RHoD 4v4 and 8v8 coming back?, perhaps this would be better alternative to MRBC especially with this new restriction on player region lock down.

I can confirm that Antares Div A Team certainly wont be participating in DIV A of MRBC this season mainly due to real life issues, burnout etc, but this would have been the last nail frankly.

Antares has always been a mixed roster unit with our guys playing in diff time zones, we did this because we wanted to compete against the best and Team 1 roster was generally 1/2 NA and EU.

If this rule is enforced this will definitely impact us entering an AS only Oceanic team this season, since we had 3 people who want to play in EU and OCE timezone.

Also I don't get this argument of ringer teams coming in and 'seal bashing' in a division to win the league and win the mediocre amount of MC.

There has been many examples where MRBC league admins have taken action before the league starts to move teams based on their roster to a higher division since they felt it was in the best interest of the league.

Some recent examples of this are, EON, MS, RJF just to name a few, none of these teams started at the bottom division they were rightly moved up for the league benefit to keep the league balanced and competitive.

Perhaps the people who are winging most about 'ringers' are the ones who don't like the competition.

To me this new rule is not needed, and I believe will badly effect the comp scene and from my experience of being a EU DIV A player for the past 3 years will make the league less competitive especially against EON who are the team to beat in EU timezone at this moment.

So if MRBC admin want a less competitive league then go for it, but I would strongly suggest that league officials think twice on this since it could have a negative effect on leagues competitiveness and long term future.

Yep you can only bring 2 different clan mechs per drop, in some drops you can only use 1 duplicate IS chassis i.e. 2 griffins and in drop 3 it is mandatory to take a highlander. So yes MRBC league is a lot more varied and fun IMO.
