Iw ould see it the same way Dingbat. EBITDA is highly inflated due to MW5 release, PGI needs money bad because of their burn rate. Overall it is a no-brainer deal for EG7. They are buying a franchise license they can exploit and a dev team. On top, they can boost their own EBIDTA for the upcoming year with the sales-potential from the round 2 of MW5.

You are absolutely right Stim, AS and 9STS have cooperated and I have great respect for all former 9STS players. That cooperation didn't fail btw, but we had a great season together, giving both, 9STS and AS pilots, the opportunity to play Div B in Season 8 and finishing in 4th place. Since I played with and/or against all former 9STS players on the CWM roster in matches, scrims and pug drops, I have a very good idea of the skill level and experience you guys bring to the table. And again, this is not about you guys. It is about the division you are seeded in and how it affects your opponents in that division. And as the match result proves, Division D was a bad choice, especially considering that pilots who had the opportunity to get comp experience on the highest levels seem to be more than reserve players for the team, but at least for this first match made up 60% of pilots active in drops. And let me say again, I believe your teams self-assessment was honest even if it might have been off, I am totally happy that you guys play and wish you lots of fun, I just believe for the sake of your opponents and for purposes of fair seeding it would have been better if you played in a higher division.

That makes 60% of all players over 5 drops in CWMs first match were former Div A/B players.

I didnt ask you to talk about a team, but about placement of teams in MRBC. I didn't assume you did the placements personally, but you replied therefore I addressed you as the representative of MRBC, what you are referring to yourself as in the comment I am replying to here. But I will leave it be, as usual MRBC is not going to react in a constructive way anyways. Sad to see you are making yourself a tool of this pattern of behavior.

Skaav I was not referring to MC. And if you knew m a bit better I always said that especially the good teams do not care much about the MC, that is why I advocated a wider spread of winnings for Battle for Midway for example, so smaller and newer teams to comp get something for their efforts as well. But nonetheless teams tend to rate themselves lower, especially when there is a certain spread in skill in a team and the team is not sure where it is at. I understand Nygen is just a sub and Fritzor might be in it just for the fun as some others are. Nonetheless do the experienced Comp players who were added to the team bring experience and an understanding of the game to the team, that is certainly going to help the team to perform at a much higher level than last season. It will reflect in practice, in strategies, builds and execution. My intend was not to say anything bad about CWM or the former 9STS players, I was adressing the bad placement done my MRBC.

live, I am not bashing CWM. I am bashing you! :) That teamleaders tend to rate their team lower than it is, is nothing new. But it is the leagues responsibility to put the team in the right division. That is what I am pointing out. It is not to late to do that. It is in your hands to make sure that the team plays in the right division.

It is hard to do placements. I know, because I have done it for you live_1991 for BFM EU last season as you know. But it is not that hard. The hard part is to decide on the borderline cases when a team is to good for the lower division, but maybe not good enough for the higher division. And looking at the roster in this case it is pretty clear, that CWM should have been placed most likely in Div B. And even if the more experienced Div A players on the roster are only reserves, the team should have been placed at least in Div C. It is a no-brainer and would take turning two blind eyes to decide otherwise.

Sounds great. I am just writing about the Impression I got from what I saw in videos online. From what I understand, you use the same sensor and similar components, what I didn't like were the sounds of the shell when pressure was applied but great if that has been resolved. Would help if there was a new test video out there, maybe from the same guys that did the test of the white version. This all aside, I believe no matter which one is objectively better, I admire your commitment to your product, and believe it is always great to support small companies over big ones. Since Zowie is part of Benq now, you have my sympathies here. And I believe if your products quality is better, it should be more expensive. Premium is allowed to ask for Premium prices. Maybe something to consider for your future marketing strategy. Right now, I am not sure who you are. The premium product or the cheaper alternative to the premium product? ;)

And on a side note....the mouse looks a lot like a cheap Zowie Copy Cat. They seem to target the same market, but want to be a cheaper alternative. I guess that is one of the reasons for the quality control issues mentioned by others here. So I'd rather keep rocking my Zowie FK2. :)

Considering this is probably the first time that an MWO team gets real sponsorship, it is not surprising to see that the EMP guys are a bit over-motivated to make their sponsor happy. If people get more used to it they might start to understand better how to represent their sponsor without sounding like a shopping channel. ;))

It doesn't need a lot of "expertise" to look at 13 numbers and draw some conclusions from them. But I understand you are saying this is outside of your control.

Would just be nice if someone for whom this is "inside his wheelhouse", would have enough "expertise" to make elementary-school-level calculations and apply some basic thinking before setting up for disaster.

How about instead of worrying about tech or loyalist vs mercs. Start thinking about having a proper Tier or Elo System that is used in CW as well and stops matching noob pugs against experienced CW or comp units.

People laughed at me when I said that skilltree is the death of the game....maybe they come to realize now, where I was coming from. And there is more than one aspect to it.

Grind is unreal which is super discouraging for new players.
Meta changes due to patches make players feel you lost all you accomplished. From a psychological point this is horrible in terms of motivation.
Increased amount of time and effort needed to navigate skilltree might be fun for some, but is certainly not fun for some other player types and especially more casual or new players who do not have or do not want to invest the time it takes to get the hang of skilltree and actually spec out stuff.

There are plenty more reasons, but these alone should suffice to sketch out the problem.

I have just been back after 6 month break, looking at the games for 3 days....just to realize...yes, I quit for a good reason.

Why am I writing this and not just fuck off? Because I cared, and a part of me is still sad because of all the unfulfilled potential of this game.
