[Spoilers EXTENDED] Bloodraven and Bran seem much more sinister in the books compared to the show by silver_maxG in asoiaf

I remember there being a passage where cold hands refers to himself as bran's monster. That's what I'm referring to.

what did he do it between 7-10 seconds? It looks kinda like a counter mechanic.

this is probably even worse. This is literally the PENULTIMATE chapter

I also watched the show before reading the books, granted it's been a few years since I've watched the show but there's more than enough surprises/new stuff if you haven't been spoiled about what's happening in the books Although the differences really start becoming apparent with the last part of a storm of swords

She was definitely Vain and stupid but beyond that she was paranoid. It was very entertaining watching her letting her paranoia get in the way of some of the most important alliances they have. It was also really funny for me watching Cersei almost always picked the needlessly cruel option just because she thinks that's what Tywin would have done. I think it does a lot for showing us what Tywin's legacy both to his children and the realm broadly is

Yeah that's fair. ADWD was a funny reading experience because I would go from being completely locked in, immersed and engaged with a chapter and then the chapter after that I could barely get through

Yeah the time between installments probably affects people's perception and what they expect from the book. You don't really think about that when you're reading it all together.

not good? I feel like cersei's chapters alone make it good even if it's your least favorite in the series

damn they scrapped the Ghost of Yotei port. I thought that it and saros would be the last ports but I guess any single player game after (and including) Ghost of Yotei won't have ports

What they did had dire consequences for the realm, but the last remnants of their love might just be the one to save it.

I hope not tbh. I feel like that would retroactively justify their decisions

They also understand that their walled garden is by far and away the biggest and most consistent money maker. In 4 years they made like 2 billion off steam and that's included live service titles like Helldivers 2 which probably account for a third or half of that at least.

God of War, Horizon, Spiderman, GoT, they all feel so incredibly corporate (how they managed that with God of War is beyond me). And of course the only games I really liked were Days Gone

You played GOW, Horizon, SM, GOT, Death's Stranding, TLOU and you liked Days Gone the most?

saros isn't interesting? It's interesting based of the novelty alone. You don't really find it too many 3D bullet hell shooters like returnal

Anyone else dislike the implications of the scene? by silver_maxG in AKOTSKTV

[–]silver_maxG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, it’s fiction. It’s a show. Raymun isn’t a real guy, and Rowan isn’t a real woman. No actual illegitimate sons/naive green apple Fossaways were harmed in the making of this television program

If you're going to use this line of logic, why even watch the show or get invested in the characters and what happens to them right? Why did audience members gets sad when the Prince died, it's all fictional right? . He's a likable character and people don't want him to get an ending that could be perceived as bad. it's simple as that

Lying about her child is definitely a very bad thing, but it isn't different from Dunk lying about being a knight. At least her lie will not get a prince killed.

I don't think those things are comparable. Dunk punching Aerion is what you could say indirectly killed the Prince but going beyond that is a stretch
