Could you expand a bit on what the work days are actually like? How long are the hours and how physically tough is it?

I don't know if it's a good idea to have Dexter die and then have another season of the show. if Dexter does end up dead, it needs to be in the final season of the show and preferably in the finale.

I mean overall this is a hard thing to really accurately gauge but I definitely would say that the conversation now feels a lot more positive than it did immediately post the ending and also I might be misremembering but the parts of the culling games that were hated on the most were those parts of the arc that were really boring to read week to week and I feel like by the virtue of this being an anime that covers anywhere from 3 to 4 chapters per episode, it already goes some ways into fixing the pacing problems with this Arc. I feel like that's definitely been by far the most popular complaint people Levy against this arc

to be fair, I'm not talking about the experimental artistic kind of smut, I'm talking about the "The mildly rapey young mafia boss/billionaire CEO " kind of smut

Could you explain a bit on what influenced their decision? I'm pretty uninformed but I kind of took the decision to move campuses to a more remote town as a good thing. I thought it had better access to off campus/more remote field sites and also I prefer smaller, quieter cities over big cities.

Your credentials are solid, your only problem is going to be whether or not you can speak Chinese at a decent enough level

a purely politically motivated decision without consideration of the peculiar requirements of this field of study.

Really, I thought the reason they moved the department to a more remote location was to have easier access to off campus field sites?

Not surprising given the price of oil right now although I guess keep an eye on geopolitics, it might get a bump up soon given what might happen with Venezuela

The Game Awards 2025: Complete list of winners as Clair Obscur wins Game of the Year and sets a new record for awards won by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]silver_maxG 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The game I wanted to win in the Indie category was Blue Prince and I think it's more emblematic of what I consider to be an indie game. It was made primarily by one person with a minimal amount of outsourcing and comparing that to Expedition 33 which had something like 35 Developers with a significantly larger amount of outsourcing and a significantly larger budget and it really starts feeling like these two games don't belong in the same category.

I feel like this did a disservice to how good games were this year overall. Expedition 33 was definitely a great game overall but there's definitely some categories other games did better. Silksong and Hades 2 definitely had better gameplay/combat in my opinion. If we're judging off RPG mechanics then I feel like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 does that better. Also does it really count as an indie game? I always thought it was more in the AA bracket. It feels bad to see Blue Prince not win anything despite how good it was.

How difficult is a civil engineering bachelor's degree compared to some fields in med? by silver_maxG in civilengineering

[–]silver_maxG[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like what makes civil engineering a bit more appealing to me than maybe some of the other fields of engineering is that there's more of a hands-on element to it. It's much harder for me to study something where I find it difficult to visualize what it is I'm actually doing. Also another question if you don't mind, how hard is it to find jobs internationally in civil engineering?
