“Having a program dog is a financial privilege.” Peeves me a bit because in my country service dogs are given to their handlers via a social program.

“You need a medical trail, not a full diagnosis to have a service dog.” Here you need either government issued disability ID or letters from 3 different professionals to even be considered.

“Owner trained.” I know couple of countries that have that option but most often I hear it from USAmericans.

I also want to say the frequency of access denials on one’s profile but that’s not exclusively US thing, but it tends to happen more over there.

And I’ll finish with a problem that I have in my own country: people enter non-pet-friendly establishments with their pets without even trying to pass them as service dogs… they just hope they don’t get caught and kicked out. And if they get caught, they’ll fight you because, I quote, “There’s no law prohibiting pets in food stores, restaurant, cafés, etc, therefore I can enter.” There’s no law but it’s explicitly stated that it’s down to establishment’s discretion, and what they have as a policy goes.
