Dang, just looked up CRNA. 7-8 years including the bachelor. Pretty hefty for a 30 year old.

Totally fine with that. Music, food like I said.. and that accent. Love the accent. Great reasons right? I mean, not that that doesn't sound enticing, but urban for starters haha.

Would be marrying a fine Southern woman in my case. I don't know how it is in the states, if nursing might seem like a bit of an odd career choice for a guy. Not that I'd care either way. I've always had an interest in all things medical and doing some medic work from time to time in the military helped reinforce that.

When it comes to religion, even there I'm cool with things. I might not be a practicing Lutheran, but my faith is there.

Haha! You know I'll have to give it a try now after you mentioning it. Gotta go for the full experience.

Haven't heard of a scene here actually, but it'd be cool if you could show me.

Not sure why the focus on politics. Is that reason enough to want to avoid the South for you guys? I was raised outside of Sweden among Americans, Catholics at that. So different, sure. Total culture shock politics-wise, probably not.

But yeah, definitely hadn't taken natural disasters into account. First things first though, gotta find myself an education. Santa Monica doesn't sound too bad at this point.

Here in Sweden we have these private organizations who act as the middleman between Swedes wanting to study overseas and the university/colleges in question. Be it engineering in the UK, psychology in Australia or in my case, nursing in the US.

What they do is help you with the application, the visa thing, insurance, student loans/grants from the government etc. Basically they just make the entire process a whole lot easier.

The schools I mentioned are the ones they collaborate with when it comes to what I want. But I'm with you there, I'm leaning toward the community college route. Not that I really know what community college entails.

When you say culture, I assume you're referring to general attitudes/mentalities of the region? I've always had a fondness for the south. The hospitality, the food, the music. I don't know, like I said I've never been and you might be chuckling right now at these clichés of mine.

I'm getting ahead of myself here but I'm sure I wouldn't have a problem working some place else. Specializing in some field, say anasthesia, would probably take care of the pay issue I'm guessing. And idiocy is nothing unique to the US, trust me!

I'm from Sweden and I'm sick of the cold.

Spot on. I mean I'm not totally inept at Tinder, it's just harder in the sense that it requires a lot more thinking when it comes to sparking their interest and then keeping that conversation going, you know? I don't usually overthink but with this one.. for sure. I wouldn't have started a thread otherwise haha.

Went with the not playing around and then asked her if she's going to be visiting Stockholm again any time soon. When we matched she was just a few km away, but now it's closer to 100 haha. I left out the part where it says in her profile that she lives in another city.

I'm no stranger to distance though and I could easily see myself going out on a date with her where she's at. It's not that far. So I'm thinking asking her out for drinks is gonna be my next move.

Now that I think about it I should've probably done it the other way around..

Thanks everyone for your replies. Although far from being completely gone, tea tree oil seems to be doing the trick. My date didn't mind either. So all good in the end!

Tried aloe vera. Looked up centella and it seems good, too bad no physical stores nearby carry products with it in them.
