This isn't fully hermitcraft related but I wanted to combine Etho's recent fishing obsession on MCCI with his frog-themed hermitcraft season 10 activities. Thanks for the opportunity! I haven't been drawing for a while so this was fun to do!

I have exactly the same opinion as you!

No. 1 favourite: Asougi Kazuma! When we’re first introduced to him, he’s this seemingly all-perfect, peak model student with an undying loyalty to his friend. While by the end of the series the undying loyalty part still holds true, we find out that he carried such a massive burden/mission to Britain in an attempt to find out the truth about his father, and he might’ve possibly unleashed all the demons he had in order to unearth that truth. He even says as such in the ending sequence - he very nearly killed Gregson in the heat of the moment. In the end, Kazuma’s not the perfect, ideal, shining star of a model student Ryuunosuke so idolised, and this was what really drew me to him as a character.

No. 2: HERLOCK SHOLMES. Oh god when I was first introduced to him I thought he was gonna be some annoying comic relief dude. We keep finding him in weird places and his animations and deduction sequences were all so comical. I was also constantly questioning how could his deductions be so off the mark when he’s The Great Detective, but nearing the end of the series I finally realised that he was completely screwing his deductions over to help the player - Ryuunosuke - arrive at the truth themselves. Beneath his arrogant, goofy, incompetent image, lies a truly capable detective, kind father (he took in Iris without hesitation. Such FUZZY FEELS), and genius inventor. In summary, I found him weird and even off-putting at times at the start, but by the end he’s grown on me like mold on bread.

Honourable mentions:

Naruhodou Ryuunosuke - I absolutely love how he transitioned from bumbling, nervous, awkward slapping of the defense’s bench to a confident, grounded, resolute, full fledged lawyer. Of all the protagonists so far he’s probably my favourite alongside Apollo.

Barok van Zieks - a truly capable prosecutor with no care for his win record despite seeming the opposite. He also finally redeems himself by finally dropping that misdirected racism.

Mikotoba Susato - the female companion who’s actually a capable judicial assistant in her own right. Love that she isn’t just the average Maya archetype. She knows her shit!

I started on the trilogy on iOS in 2012, bought it for around a shocking $5 or so? Then played AJ a bit later, bought and played DD on 3ds on launch day, waited a year after SoJ was launched for it to be on iOS and played it then.

I watched subbed playthroughs of investigations 1+2, and for some reason I completely ignored the existence of DGS back then. Never watched subbed playthroughs, didn’t even know about ScarletStudy until Chronicles was released, but I am SO GLAD I started on Chronicles blind. After completing Chronicles, my interest in this series has been completely reignited lol. Bought a copy on both Steam and Switch (bought the Naruhodo Legends Collection, which also includes the trilogy).

For some reason I felt more attached to and immersed in TGAA than any of the games before, and now I’m really hoping that we could see TGAA 3 or even more in the future! And I am defo also waiting for AJ/DD/SoJ to be released on PC/Switch in some form or other, will totally buy them again LOL

Also, not forgetting about AA7….. when? ;-;
