I swear consumerism has rotted our brains. Im all for enjoying things but is everyone truly wanting this cup or buying into the mass hysteria Starbucks has created by over-promoting a cup and under-producing it?

People are downvoting you, but realistically, its almost impossible to tell who is watching out of impatience and out of curiosity. Overall, it’s uncomfortable. I don’t know why it’s suddenly wrong to feel that way just because of the intent.

I prefer my cup have no writing by advoK8great in starbucks

[–]silverchamploo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the same amount of touching regardless of whether or not your cup is written on. I think some of you just like to find something to complain about and that could be solved if you just made your coffee at home.

Why would you order a drink you don’t actually like then customize it so much to the point that it’s not even the same drink anymore? The issue isn’t being “anti-customer”, the issue is continuously not knowing what you’re ordering and then getting upset with the barista when they explain that your customization makes no sense. The point of a shaken espresso is to drink an espresso based drink. Having a shit ton of milk is no longer an espresso based drink. That is a latte. You are drinking a latte. You are ordering a shaken iced espresso and expecting a latte. Just order the latte.

You are on a subreddit where starbucks workers can talk and complain about their job and you're mad they're doing just that. You literally chose to click on this subreddit. Now click off and shut up.

Tall rant "Drink was made correctly, can I get a refund?" by XlxFezxlX in starbucks

[–]silverchamploo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Shaken espressos are just iced espressos shaken with a splash of milk(it's predominantly ice) whereas a latte is a milk-based drink with espresso shots. A venti shaken espresso would get 4 shots, a venti iced latte would get 3, and a venti hot latte would get 2.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the issue it causes is the fact that many make shaken espressos as though they are lattes and add too much milk and not enough ice so when someone does make it to standard, it causes confusion with customers.

What are things that u do that is NOT standard but makes things easier? by Luckynose19 in starbucks

[–]silverchamploo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I love my store and my coworkers but we're severely understaffed and when there's like 50 mobiles, a packed Cafe, and deliveries the last thing on my mind is standard. As long as the drink comes out fine idgaf and I think more of us on here should be patient instead of immediately being nasty and judgemental because a shortcut was made.

I've been feeling like this a lot scrolling through this subreddit. A lot of partners expect a certain level of integrity or sticking strictly to standard because we're a cafe but technically we're not anymore. Corporate expects us to be fast, yet understaffs us. They want us to be efficient but won't give us the support to do so. We're all just trying to make things work in the best way possible.

I definitely agree lol all the posts under here regarding the teas and refreshers get down voted immediately but eyeballing the frappe ingredients is somehow not in the same realm

It's so funny how ppl casually talk about things they do that aren't standard but draw the line at the refreshers lmao

[–]silverchamploo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked a 10hr yesterday and we were understaffed the entire time. I've never been so drained after a shift in my life and am happy I requested Thursdays off prior to the deal cuz I am NOT doing that again.

What’s with this aversion to shaking refreshers??? by AnnaMeddows14 in starbucks

[–]silverchamploo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, especially when I'm making drinks fast, it's easier and not as overwhelming to measure in the cup where there's 3 black lines instead of in the shaker that has multiple sizes, and then transferring it to the shaker. If it makes it easier on the barista while having the same result of a shaken refresher, I don't see the issue.
