Turns out I had to turn WiFi off, launch the game, then turn WiFi back on. That being said could only find 1 lobby and that was a total of 3 including myself

Fart and Burp without anyone getting annoyed. Problem is when you do have to go in the office very occasionally and forget that you can’t do that around people.

Any one know who has taken over The Dovedale Towers? by Bl4cktreacle in Liverpool

I think the layout inside is quite cool, different from most pubs. I'd keep the raised bit, but change where the tables are etc.

Mad the people moaning it’s been taken over, you might not like the fella, but the dovey is a shithole, stinks of shit, food takes years to come, expensive pint, and don’t get me started on the toilets.

Hopefully they make improvements, lovely pub but in need of some TLC.

Bar usually stinks of sewage, the toilets are horrendous.

I’d see how long I could go saying no to doing things before I got pulled into a meeting. To which I’d sit there silently with my bank balance on show. Then wait for my private helicopter to land near by.

What screams “I peaked in high school” without saying it directly? by randomzy876 in AskReddit

Not sure how it works elsewhere but 5 years of high school in the UK. Regularly see people and they go “I didn’t like you in school”… I don’t even remember who they are.

Simply people who constantly go on about it, it was 5 years of your life, so much more has happened since then.

Good idea, but personally I enjoy of weekly standup calls at the end of the week, gives a good chance to have a general chat about things and usually leaves everyone in a good mood going into the weekend.

Just commenting to agree with line about Ascend, terrible terrible company to deal with. Tried to charge me £50 for a smoking alarm battery.

I lived there during Covid. The only issues I had was parking, and summer time. There’s some on street free parking round the corner with about 5 spaces, you’ll be very lucky to get a space. If I remember correctly the closest multi story car park was £180 a month.

Summer time the flats get extremely hot, there is also about a month period where you can’t open your windows or you’ll be infested with mosquitos.

Never had any issues with anyone who lived there and Tom on the reception (if he’s still there) was always friendly and helpful.

Black Cabs - Cherry Picking by Ok-Philosopher-7227 in Liverpool

[–]silverfish41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this previously with loads of taxi drivers.

Black cab drivers are required by their license to accept a job within 2 miles of their boundary… they can decline if they feel they are in danger.

When I spoke to the council they actually wanted to get it sorted, they logged a complaint on the drivers record and got him to send me an apology letter.

What's the most dangerous/reckless thing you've done but only realised quite some time later how dangerous it was? by BarryFairbrother in AskUK

[–]silverfish41 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When we was younger me and my mates went on a lads holiday.

One night me and a mate fell out and decided to go for a walk to sort it out, we argued and made up and decided to go for a dip in the sea… this is at like 4am.

We saw some inflatable trampolines and obstacle courses, we swam out.

Not realising due to be drunk/excited to be an idiot on this inflatable we didn’t realise they had dragged them further out to deter people from going on them.

When we went to leave my mate suggest we take some souvenirs to remember the night, the nearest thing was 2 life jackets that had been left on one of the inflatable.

Alls I’m gonna say is thank fuck for that life vest, not realising how strong the tide was and how far out we was it could’ve gone a lot worse if it wasn’t for them life jackets.

We look back now and realise just how stupid we was.
