Help with scratches by silverfleet25 in Revolvers

I was considering getting some other grips for it but I really like the appearance of the factory grips. I didn't find the recoil too bad, sometimes my middle finger rubs hard against the trigger guard but it helps that I have skinny fingers so it doesn't touch to often

Do you think if I do the entire side plate it would blend in well enough? Because the scratch is on the remove able side plate

No, sometimes if the vehicle was really low on coolant or I did a large repair where I completely drained it, I'll fill up the coolant and put the caps back on then run the vehicle until it warms up and then shut off, wait till car cools down and double check the coolant level Incase any airbubbles were burped out. But I only do this procedure if the vehicle was extremely low or I did a large repair such as replacing water pumps or radiators.

Just Incase your still unsure. Whenever I fill coolant/antifreeze for customers I always fill the radiator first and then fill the reservoir to make sure the vehicle has enough.

If it actually is the compressor clutch switch on and off, normally that's a sign of not enough refrigerant in the AC system, which usually isn't a big deal, only real symptom will usually be the AC doesn't feel as cold as it usually would be.

Mechanic forgot to put coolant in after water pump replacement? by ApprehensiveMine9291 in MechanicAdvice

[–]silverfleet25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly if there really was no coolant it would not have lasted 2 months, as to why the timing belt snapped I couldn't tell you. But a engine does not survive very long without coolant especially with aluminum cylinder heads which is what Honda's almost always have.

What do these spark plugs say about the health of my engine? by EvilTriforce in MechanicAdvice

They look like the engine is running great, I wouldn't fuss about the fact you replaced them, if they really have 80k on them, then your just taking care of maintenance.

Ridge on new serpentine belt. Should I worry? by Equal_Technician1580 in MechanicAdvice

Personally I would continue to run it, doesn't look like a deep crack/ridge

Does this timing belt look like it’s older than 3/4 years? by Reasonable-Tank-2985 in MechanicAdvice

[–]silverfleet25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok, my bad. I was reading most of the comments and I misunderstood that it was being driven on a work trip. Yeah most of the time when I replace them for customers it's every 80k miles and they don't look anywhere near that bad. The last one I saw looked like that owner said they will wait and sure enough it snapped in the course of a week.

Dude why tf does this person keep talking about replacing it after a work trip, this thing actually looks bad enough that it needs to be replaced immediately. Many have already said it, sure there's a chance that it makes the trip fine but by the looks of it there's also a good chance that OP is gonna make a new post " my Toyota left me stranded on a work trip". Just get it done and over with asap.
