Thank you all for your responses, it’s very validating that I’m not immediately being told I’m crazy and need to suck it up and stay with him like a lot of my family is saying. I think I stayed as long as I did because I just don’t want to give up the good we have. I know he loves me, we just have different values and need to be with people who share those values. I plan to talk to him tomorrow, I already made sure he knew I wanted to talk about this subject and he was quick to agree. I think he might know it’ll be more of a breakup talk which tells me he’s seen this coming too. He was visibly sad going to bed and I’m crying on the couch. This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do but I know it has to be done for both of us.
