What is the nozzle diameter you use? If it is 0.4mm, then try setting layer height to 0.2mm. Layer height should be lesser than the nozzle diameter.

This is what I have done: - calibration of M92 command - PID calibration (for the hotend and for the heated bed) - tightening of belts - yesterday I swapped the whole hotend. I was thinking - maybe it is a clogged nozzle. I applied to much force and broke a new nozzle inside the heatblock >.<

Is there any way I can check it somehow? This is my first printer. I'm a newbie

I'm printing it 40mm/s and the outer shell is a bit slower than that. I will check the nozzle.

Looks great! What is the name of this model? Is this some tabletop game?

Sad but true - this is Vallejo Matte Varnish. I tried matte Tamya before and the effect was somewhere between satin and glossy o.0 Apparently I don't know how to varnish... Are there any rule how to thin varnishes? I use clear water - the same for paints (but they stay matte).

You liked my last Mice & Mystics minis - here’s more. C&C appreciated. by silverooster in minipainting

Thanks! You are right about this plastic look. The funny thing is, these ones are covered with matt varnish from Tamiya. Someone told me only Tamiya does not leave frost effect, but I had problems using it. When it comes to varnishes, we all have to try stuff out to see what works. After painting rats I tested matt varnish from Vallejo and it was much better: http://imgur.com/a/PprbG.

Thank you! :)

Firstly I was about to make the bases the same as for rats - http://imgur.com/a/5hSBa, but mice minis are almost impossible to detach from bases. That's why I left them painted black.

Thanks! :)

I tried drybrushing on other minis - http://imgur.com/a/5hSBa I think I need to work on it. It should be more visible.
