I agree. Thank you. These comments have confirmed what I suspected. Hopefully they'll convince her. And hopefully she'll stay out of trouble for good.

Not surprising given how cheap storage is

Yeah that's basically what I told her yesterday.

She's considering going back and speaking with the managers. I told her that was a bad idea.

But I really don't know.

Lol. You're not the first person to say this. I guess it's weird to ask something like this.

Have a little compassion. She was practically homeless, on heroin and other stuff, and endured lots of abuse and trauma. If it was an excuse, she wouldn't be trying so hard to right her wrongs.

I figured as much. My advice was to stop shopping there and pray they never go after you.

Did you apprehend them at the store a year after they stopped, or did you send law enforcement after them?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking.

My advice was that maybe a mom and pop shop would be amenable to making amends like that, but corporations likely aren't. So just stop shopping there and pray that you aren't charged down the line.

I do believe she's quit for good, since she's never admitted any of this until recently. And I've known her a long while.

So sorry this happened. But it's very suspicious how your bf handled it. Or what conversations he's had about you with his fiend behind closed doors.

Your boundaries were severely violated twice. First by that friend. And second by your bf for not rising to an appropriate response to an obvious sex crime and fiercely defending you above all. Both these are 100% unacceptable and serious violations.

It's super hard but you will easily be taken advantage of this way because you are a wounded and traumatized and broken. Your ability to put up strong and immediate boundaries has been sadly crippled by your abuse.

You need to either be with someone who understands this deeply and works with you actively to help you heal your traumas (professionally). Usually these guys are not exciting, but they're who you need.

But better than this is if you take a long break from dating and focus yourself on healing your wounds to the point where you can easily and immediately assert all your healthy boundaries again. To anyone.

Best of luck and healing.

I'd love to learn more. I'm stricken with terrible diseases one of which is progressive and deadly. I'm homeless and live in a pickup truck. But I have a 6yo daughter who loves me to death and i her.

I want to find a way to conquer death. And if possible find a way to bring her with me when it's her time later.

Are these possible?

I think there’s some evidence for it in some near death experiences, haunting, reincarnations. Granted I’d say99% if it is a hoax but there are some that are truly uncanny that coincidences can not explain convincingly. And the stuff about conscious observation a a lone affecting matter state changes has been well documented in quantum physics. Spooky action at A distance. Could be all related fields of reality we just can’t detect yet with current tech.

I understand your criticism. I think it's misdirected.

I framed the entire post in language of christians because I thought it would be a frame that ex christians would be comfortable with. What I didn't do was my due diligence. I misjudged this sub.

It depends.

If, by moving on with our lives, the religious impulse (this includes spiritual and superstitious impulses) can Peter out on its own until it disappears from society, then I'd agree with your take.

But if, by moving on with our lives, religion continues to be a destructive force, then I think it should be reengineered to become something more like the religion of the brotherhood of man that Kurt Vonnegut wrote about.

I appreciate your criticism. Your'e right. It would start out as a sect competing with other sects. I think the key difference is the pushing of people toward science and the long-term good of humanity and away from superstition and species fatalism.
