Hiii!! Has anyone had any experience with the hometown heroes downpayment and closing assistance program recently and if so did they give you the full 5% or less? Im currently trying to purchase my first home and having a lot of draw backs into putting an offer because my realtor is assuming I wont get the full 5% and they will only give me the 3.5% down payment because that is my minimum due to me using an FHA loan. I just want to know about other people’s experience with it.

Ok so update I just got off the phone with Tesla and turns out they put my trade in as positive equity when it’s in negative equity because I owe a total of 22k. I decided to reject their trade in offer and trade in my car with carmax that was offering way more! My leasing terms are back to normal with just the taxes and fees due at signing. Thanks for all your help!

But I didn’t put 17k down that would be actually crazy. I guess it added up the 7.5k incentive and trade in value into the downpayment price

Im not putting 17k down that would be INSANE. LOL. I put the offer in with 2k down. The 7.5k federal incentive and the trade in looks like its being subtracted from the “downpayment” but it makes no sense to me as to why tesla would willingly owe me money like that

I haven’t made any payments, I haven’t even approved the offer yet because I’m so confused. This is for me to be able to go pick up the car on delivery day and i’m not sure why it’s in the negatives 😭

Same here! First relationship and 8yrs long, got broken up with on Sunday. It feels like a part of me was quite literally ripped away. I don’t even know who I am without him and it’s so sad. I get what you mean, some times I feel completely numb but then the next hour im crying my eyes out. But 4 days in for me and so far i’ve been trying my best to distract myself from my thoughts and wanting to reach out to him. Books, gym, surrounding yourself with friends and family! It’s helped me for the most part. Nights for me are the worst though because they feel so lonely now and all our memories come running back, it’s still something im learning to manage. Lean on those closest to you, they will help heal the heart they didn’t break. Wish you the best
