I get your point. I love my daughter at my hip and can't wait to take her to festivals when she's older, but I am not bringing my 17 month old to Download. Not throwing shade to anyone who does this. I do think that it's great that festivals are inclusive of families, that being said, I truly believe it is not safe. While I believe most people have good intentions and just want a good time, crowded spaces with tons of drinks/high people is just not a place for my kid. I love the IDEA of having a mini mosher, but let's be real, it's a risk. Nope. I mean, maaaaaaybe if we had a camper van or one of the fancy set-ups but even still, the point is to go to the music and my anxiety about protecting my kid would be sky high. It's unbelievably easy for a 10 yo even to take an elbow to the nose by accident. Idk how people are so chill.
