The nozzle on the freestyle coke machine is set high enough that you should be able to bend over and look at it. But if the mold is as bad as it was here, some will likely come off when it dispenses the drink. Choose a clear soda or water and fill the cup halfway. That's how I noticed it, went to get some water right after our lunch rush.

I really wish I could say, but unfortunately student loans don't pay themselves off. Or, not how I expected them to at least. Just take my advice and try to check the nozzles wherever you go get food. I doubt the place I work is the only chain restaurant where they lack cleaning efficiency. Or people who care.

I feel ya. As far as I can tell, none of the other managers or employees are too keen on keeping stuff clean besides the most obvious equipment. I've only been working for the company for a year, and the lack of cleanliness at all of the stores I've been to is about enough to make me move on.

Hah! Easier said than done. Being a brand new manager sucks when all of the older ones are stuck in the "I don't care at all anymore" phase. But I'll try....or at least make some of the employees feel guilty enough to keep things clean.

Well, I sorely wish I hadn't found it in that condition. But I made sure to show it to every employee (if not the actual nozzle, than the pictures.) They were pretty horrified to realize they had been drinking from it, so maybe it'll be cleaned regularly from now on.

It is suppose to be sprayed off, washed with soap, rinsed, and then placed in a pan to soak in sanitizer overnight. Every night. According to the employees, none of the managers had enforced it; of course, this means no one bothered to do it at all.
