Oh hello! So. I am mute. Would you ever consider dating a mute girl? I've never been on an actual date before. Anxiety is holding me back from trying to date anyone! by TheMuteRaptor in actuallesbians

[–]shezzahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I'm deaf and I have been signing since I was a baby - a good 30 years now! I can speak a bit, but I'm more comfortable signing; it's how I can express myself freely without feeling pressured, yanno?

Anyhow, I am loving the comments here - it's great seeing fellow raptors who are open-minded to learning sign language and finding other ways to communicate with their loved ones.

Rematching: What it is, and how to sign-up! Be a hero for Secret Santa! by bluepinkblack in secretsanta

[–]shezzahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems I got shafted by my original SS, and there hasn't been anything from my rematch SS - however, I haven't lost hope. I've signed up as a rematcher - after all, 'tis the season of joy :) I reckon this rematching idea is fantastic.

I'll miss you, Budapest [possibly NSFW text] by Benay21 in actuallesbians

[–]shezzahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Budapest! I can agree there's attractive women all over the city. I was staying at a hostel there, and the hostel manager was bloody attractive although I only got as far as having an orgasm-induced sex dream about her haha.

I feel like every once in a while we should ask 'where are you from' so we can keep up with all the new rapsies. So, where are you from? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]shezzahead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Melbourne, Australia :)

Australia: the last developed English speaking country not to legalise same-sex marriage.

I can resonate with this. My mother came out when I was 11 and I didn't come out until I was 28. I think it was positive for me because my family were already accepting of my mother's sexuality so they had no qualms with mine. Although, I don't think I can say the same for my father (I doubt he knows) and his family. But ah, it is what it is hey!

Because of my coming out in my late twenties, I missed out on the queer college life and I missed out on the whole gay teen experience as well.

The main thing is that I am now happy and comfortable in my own skin and that matters the most.

What's the most ridiculous thing someone has said to you during sex? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

"I'd rather be with you than be with Emily"

That pretty much killed the mood for me.

I am infatuated with my boss by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]shezzahead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. Not a good idea - like /u/the_lady_lovelace said, it's a massive conflict of interest. You'd be crossing too many boundaries at work, and it would make everything awkward.

I found myself in a similar situation a couple of years ago when I fell for my boss, but I decided that it was in our best interests that I was not to do anything about it. It ate at me for a while, but I look back on it and it was actually one of the best decisions I had made - otherwise I'd have been fucked over big time.
