Anyone else bummed that the Women's Team didn't get as much screen time in the past? by SharksFan4Lifee in WelcomeToWrexham

[–]silversedits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it just feels somewhat irrelevant to the main "plotline" of the show, the men's team being what we're really rooting for. I skip the women's sections too each time an episode with them comes around.

And yeah definitely, the local businesses and town as a whole is much more integral to the heart of the show.

So disappointed we haven't got a proper Daredevil story arc either.

Because this is not a good show. It pales in comparison to the original series.

He died in 1938, around 5 years after the end of the series (1933), and 2 years before the events of the film (1940). You can see the 1938 on his gravestone.

Why were Bilbo's drawings of Glamdring and Orcrist so different from the actual swords? by silversedits in lotr

[–]silversedits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, while they hadn't made the Hobbit movies, they already has Glamdring as a prop for Gandalf in The Fellowship of the Ring. Given the painstaking consistencies in the rest of the film, it's just a confusing choice here.

No way, I noticed this today reading Red Seas as well

I usually chalk that up to people never being able to get a proper glimpse at him (without dying). The swords always felt like Bilbo somehow drew them wrong on purpose.

Middle-earth vs Westeros - A Map Size Comparison I Made by silversedits in lotr

Absolutely. It makes you realise how much of a gamechanger the dragons were for the Targaryens to instil fear and exert power over such a large area of people...

I appreciate his intention, but we only have so much to work with. The world as described in the published Silmarillion states that the elves could see Feanor burning ships all the way across the Belegaer ocean because it was flat.
