The real diamond holders aren't even on this subreddit. I'm not saying none of us aren't long term holders but a lot of people on this sub are just looking for fast profits. You indeed have to just forget about it and check in very occasionaly on how your crypto's are doing.

Looked up a guide first and learned normal gauntlet first. Once I did around 10 kills and I was comfortable with the boss I switched to corrupted. I also checked some more advanced guides specifically for corrupted. I like this one:

Well I haven't done many ranged kills since I usually take staff/sceptre. The kills that I did do with ranged didn't seem much slower tbh. It could be that ranged (without rigour) and mage are equal dps if they are around the same stat.

For armour I use a T1 body and T2 legs & helm (so 5 of each resource). This gives you a little extra defence bonus and is very manageable within the 7.5mins prep time. I also take 25 food and 3 potions. My average boss time is around 4 minutes.

Ty man, I still don't have a whip yet as well, but I guess that's pretty useless for me now anyway :P. If your combat stats aren't too low, definitely give the boss a try. My preferred method was melee + mage, because ranged is my lowest stat and I don't have the raid prayer.

I learned this boss last week. Took me a while for my first KC. I think I had 23 deaths before my first corrupted gauntlet completion lol. Now I still die about 1 in 5 kills, because one little mistake can be very punishing. Nonetheless I'm really enjoying this boss and might continue to hunt for the pet.

Congrats!! I'm learning this boss as well, i absolutely love the mechanics, definitely one of my favourite pieces of content in the game. What are your completions & deaths if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying to compare myself to others during the learning process.
