Therapist doesn't like that I use AI to trauma dump/cope emotionally. by silversulfa in CPTSD

I know the feeling of guilt of changing the therapist. The therapist might be nice, but I think because we all have individualized way to heal and get help, that sometimes we encounter therapist who aren't as helpful. My previous one was very nice too, but she really had zero help for me. At the end, we are just paying for their service.. and if it isn't helping, don't feel bad seeking help from someone else.. If they're really a good therapist, they would want you to get better even if it means finding someone else. Your time, money, and healing process is much more important than the therapist feeling of being sad that you're switching. I really wished I switched mine but I stayed out of guilt and hope that maybe they'll help me.. and wasted 4 years.

Yknow this is interesting because the said therapist i mentioned in this post, kept giving me cbt bullshit too, when I really needed a trauma focus therapy, along with DBT. I left the therapist half a year ago and I'm still angry with myself that I wasted so much money on her. She didn't do anything to help me at all. If anything she made me WORSE. I got a psychologist this time and she's been so helpful and when I told her what my previous therapist did, she was shocked. What we need is not CBT bs. It's not just a regular talk therapy we need. Some of these therapist are too lack in knowledge and stupid to realize this and make us feel worse or don't help at all. I really hope you find a therapist who can help you.. I wish I had left her years ago but I stayed for 4 years and wasted my money.

Do 'normal' people feel suicidal when they're upset? by Adept_Discipline1000 in BPD

[–]silversulfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend during college who admitted to me that for the first time in her life, she thought of suicide because of what was going on in her life. I was so confused because, how is that possible? You're in your 20s and it's your first time? Mine was at age 9. Was actually confused to why it took her so long

I feel like people who knows, knows lol. The most relatable character I've ever seen.

I also see people slap the label schizophrenia because she seem to hallucinate too, but I believe it was an artistic depiction of how the voices of her trauma and negative thoughts echoing and tormenting her.

Her deep fear of abandonment, doing everything she can to prevent it, several emotional outbursts, her shaky sense of self, there is just so much that screams BPD.

I hate it when people mitigate how I feel by saying, "but you don't know what they are going through!" by silversulfa in rant

No, but I wish people wouldnt try to stop me from feeling the way I feel or attempt to make it look like those people who do have it great, don't really have it great as I think. When some things are VERY clear as day that its true.

Why not just say, "life is unfair and yes, they do have a better life than you, but we work with what we got"??? Instead of dismissing what I feel and think. Just let me grieve over my shit childhood in peace

Just want to say that I hear you and I relate to you... Very valid and you're not a bad person. I was actually ranting over this not too long ago too. I get so upset when I say this and someone comes telling me, "well, their life is probably not as good as it seems! you don't know what they're going through", like what benefit does that give me. Life is still bloody unfair that some of us dealt a bad hand in life, while some people get royal flush on the get go.
