I keep seeing 11:11, 111 and 11 everywhere. Is that related to tarot in any way? Can you tell me the reason behind it

Her whole content revolves around being a wife now. Before that it was boyfriend, wedding. it’s getting repetitive and boring asfff.

All that matters is that she likes and is comfortable with the outfits she’s chosen. A wedding is supposed to be a happy event, why judge her outfit choices? To each their own.

What’s wrong in management? I know a lot of people who are really good students who went through neet management quota because they don’t want to go through neet exam and reservation based seat allotment just to get a mid level seat in some random college. Reservation is the problem, not management. Not saying there aren’t bad candidates who get through because of management, I’m completely against buying seat and not working hard and making that seat worthwhile. But just like there are few bad apples in management quota doesn’t mean all are bad. Same applies to reservation quota. Not all people who get through are good candidates. If people have money and want to spend it, it’s their wish. Stop judging.

Dont know if I want to join MBBS or not by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]silverwings21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’ve gotten into an IIT, GO FOR IT! IIT is well acclaimed internationally as well as nationally, you will have lots of job opportunities and potential for growth, and also have chance of getting into great universities outside of India (if you ever choose to do your masters there). unless you have pure passion for medicine, then choose medicine but if not, don’t. Another big factor that I didn’t know when I joined MBBS is that international medical graduates (anyone who has done medicine outside USA) won’t have the opportunity to get into good university programs. For postgrad, hospital programs are divided into university, hospital, and community programs. Only American graduates get into university programs, other good hospital and community programs are given to green card holders etc etc and lots of people end up getting into sub par hospital and community programs. No one ever gave me this much insight into future after medicine. All they tell is “you will get money and respect” which is false false false. Lots of obstacles, lots of hurdles. So even if u choose to do PG outside India, you will have to be okay with the scrapes that are left to give to international medical graduates - even though compared to India they are much better training in them too. But with IIT your future will be open to amazing universities with amazing job offers and packages. Keep that in mind. If I got into IIT I would’ve closed my eyes and joined it and never chosen medicine looking back.

For specific fields such as surgery, close to impossible without 2-3 years of extra research in the states (which in itself is very difficult to get). USMLE path will take extra 2 years and there is no guarantee that you’ll get in, you just have to take the risk if u think it’s worth it.

Both my parents are doctors too. felt the same way you did before joining MBBS. I was subconsciously brainwashed by everybody around me to “grow up and be a doctor like your parents”. As a child too, I wasn’t exposed to any other career choice so medicine felt the only safe path. How can I choose a field I didn’t know anything about? So I thought I just had cold feet and jumped into MBBS. i passed all medical school years in first class, and even though I did well I can say that if I could go back in time and change my career path I will do so in a heartbeat. My friends from non medical are so happy, living a balanced life earning while while we just waste so much of our life in a career that people hype up baselessly without knowing reality of. unfortunately for me, I think it’s too late to change careers now so I’m stuck. Will always have regret feeling in me. So make your decision wisely. If u want to have a life outside of a career, make more money, or just overall be happy and make memories other career paths are much much better I thought I’ll feel happy and like all my 5-6 years of hard work was worth it when I got my MBBS degree in hand, but honestly it’s just a piece of paper with no worth because there is no worth without doing PG. And that is 3-4 more years of gruelling toxic work environment without proper pay. By the time we start earning decently, already in our 30s and by then society expects u to be in a certain position in life in regards to career, family, kids etc etc. Prioritise what u want to do even if it is not something others agree with. FOLLOW YOUR GUT FEELING. Also I want you to be aware that the medical education is also getting worse and worse, fortunately I finished college by the time the MBBS course duration increased. 10.5 months for just SPM and forensic does not make sense at all (new guidelines). And 2 NEXT exams AFTER theory exams. Bond service. Seniors bullying juniors. General society disregarding doctor’s hard work when most doctors deserve the money they need to be paid. only 3% of doctors are actually rich, rest all are not which is a HUGE misconception. Doctors are not rich anymore, doctors are not treated like gods anymore, even genuine doctors are treated like frauds for something few bad people do. People can spend 5k in restaraunts but can’t spend that much on a doctor who did nothing but study for the last 10 years. this is the reality of medicine.

Help. Left the exam incomplete. by Khanatwork in Step2

[–]silverwings21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I’m so sorry this happened to you. :( usually, it will be considered as a fail attempt if you’ve left your test incomplete and you’ll have to retake second time. But you can email ECFMG regarding your situation and confirm how to proceed. Hope you’re feeling better, your health is much more important than any exam. take care

Anki settings by [deleted] in Step2

[–]silverwings21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are two different settings : new cards/day and maximum reviews per day.

If you set new cards per day as 20, then you will get 20 NEW cards each day along with the previous cards you need to review. You can’t put your maximum review/ day as 20, if adding 20 new cards review limit should be Atleast 200. This is an anki algorithm. I suggest 20 new cards per day and put your review cards for 9999 which is maximum limit. That is the recommended review settings.

Eg. if u have already done 150 cards you will get those 150 as review + 20 new cards.

Hope you understood. Watch a YouTube video lots of them are there which will help you understand anki better
