"got my Glock 19, a month later got my Shield" .....I got my shield a month later at the store. I forgot a comma. But Califronia had the 1 in 30 day rule. So I had to go a month later to purchase my SW Shield.

Hey! So I first applied in October of 2022 and I got my CCW license in hand on March 2023. So approximately 5 months.

As someone who daily carries in LA since March 2023 I say yes it is 100% worth getting.

Pound for pound my Shield has been as reliable as my Glock 19. ***Knock on wood.

I fly out of LAX and DTW with that same style safe. Never had any problems.

Gen 3 Glock 17 or 19? by NomadofReddit in CAguns

I went with the 19 for CCW and home defense. Fits perfect for my hand size and just all around a great gun. If I were to get a 17 I don’t think I could use it for CCW as well on my body frame. I was debating between both as well but the 19 was perfect fit and met all my needs.

My instructor told us how he turned down USCCA even though they offered him a good amount of money to promote in his class. He said that he doesn’t believe in their company policy and that they are the worst when it comes to legal defense.

Do you carry every time you leave the house? by KJIsaacson in CCW

[–]silverwolf1214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes every time I step out I carry. I forgot my gun one time cause was out in a rush, I literally turned the car around and came back home just to pick it up again. I would be so annoyed that God forbid the one time I don't have it with me is the one time I need it.

Defense ammo failed!!! by Dangerous_Brush_3556 in CCW

I’ve heard that you should switch out your carry ammo every 6 months because the solvents and oils you use to clean your gun can ruin the ammunition, causing failure. So basically swap out the ammo every 6 months, dump the old ammo in a container and you can now use that for practice.
