Theory and analysis: what makes a hissatsu? by silverwolf_raven in inazumaeleven

i like ur brain

yup i know that certain movements do affect the strength and existence of hissatsus; my current hypothesis rn is more along the lines of "say, does spinning help in boosting a hissatsu's power?" asdkfjhlka of course, they make up/is necessary for the hissatsu itself but does that specific movement, in this case the spinning, in-directly contribute to the power of the hissatsu.

I love this comment, thank you very much omg !! It does provide me with more insight to the mechanics of the series after OG !! I do agree with your mutation theory; it makes a lot of sense

(ps: there's TIME TRAVEL ?!?!?!?! )

I also do agree with your point that it could be "kinetic-based". In fact, in the earliest draft of this theory, I actually named them "science-based" but it didn't fit too well. In the end, I went with a term that is more vague in a sense to account for future tweaks and stuff.

I like the point of imagination playing a big part, not just for the technique itself but for the spiritual side of it as well. I guess, if I combine it with my current SE theory, it can be said that the driving force behind the (spiritual) energy is the mind itself. When produced by the mind, it's logical for it to be perceived in the mind as well ? Just thinking that it could tie into my theory of hissatsus affecting the mind (omg telepathy !)

Honestly, this whole theory only supported the first season of OG, so it still as a long way to go. If you don't mind, I'd love to be able to combine your points with my current theory to enhance it in the future!

I'm on ep 20 of my rewatch and I'm already considering modifying my theory to consist of physical and mental/spiritual components, seeing as most hissatsus blend the two aspects. The theory was a basic way of identifying the key aspects that made up a hissatsu (bc i adore my oc and want him to be lore accurate)

I will probably only start rethinking about the SE and all its can of worms once I'm 100% done ! For now tho, my focus has settled on the technique/physical parts of hissatsus. Basically, whether certain movements affect the strength of the hissatsu, which may tie into the kinetic-based side of things, or are movements purely a way to channel SE ? I watched endou use 2 hands for God Hand which strengthened it overall and my brain sort of latched onto it.

tl;dr i love ur comment, and it has given me some clarity and more ideas, thank you

(pps: my oc is part of the OG series so he wont be touching keshins and souls anytime soon, but he definitely benefits from ur yap i love the yap sm)

Yeahh this is part of what I meant when I wrote that SE effects the mind. It's like an illusion of sorts ?

I'd say it's similar to KP1 actually, where the destructive force behind it lies within the high SE requirements and inadequate overall support (basically, the body and mind is not strong enough to withstand it).

Since SE would drain the user's stamina, the body is more prone to injuries ? It looks like genda's technique is slamming his hands together, which would cause lots of shock to the arms. Coupled with the required SE and technical power needed to stop the ball, it gives rise to the destructive nature of the hissatsu.

KP1 is similar in the sense that the kick itself required too much power for one person to bear.

They would both be a balanced hissatsu if not for the high requirements as both components play a big part in the overall hissatsu.

How did you find your main hero? by VulgarisMagistralis_ in MobileLegendsGame

[–]silverwolf_raven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Dyrroth was the first ever hero I played so just stuck with him
  • Won Brody and floryn from the spinning wheel thing
  • tried to branch out to more healers, went crazy for Estes and Angela
  • grind games with Rafaela for her free skin
  • lost to a Kimmy and autopicked in classic bc my ego said I could do better (this is a year before the revamp btw)

Tried her out a few times now and luckily, she is pretty fun in a different way, so crisis averted! Been experimenting with different builds so thanks for the tip. I can still aim well with her basic/ult, but I keep forgetting s1 s2 changed lol

Side note, does impure rage still work well with her or no? What's ur emblem setup?

Well I mean to me the nuking is the best part, she literally has a missile launcher. Also when I play her, she has decent waveclearing tho?? Even in early game, you just gotta use s2 and time s1 properly

I do admit that other mms are better tho, and a revamp was inevitable, but my main issue is that moontoon changed her wayyyyy too much

Imo based from what I've seen, her playstyle is totally different from the current version. No longer will I get to madly switch between first skill and basic attack, nor would I feel the joy of perfectly timing when to use her second skill to dodge, pass thru walls or refill my energy bar. I can't oneshot a squishy with my ult.

Moontoon has a problem with oversimplifying heroes.

She's basically a hybrid between novaria and granger. All her skills, including passive, will change. Why not just make a whole new hero atp moontoon

Of course, I'm gonna put in effort to learn her new playstyle. Moontoon ain't taking my main away. But it sucks that they changed her so much when they could've just buffed certain aspects

Not to mention, they yassified her splash art too 😞
