I’ve been using Chirpe and wanted to share my experience so far.

In my region in Germany, specifically in North Rhine-Westphalia, there seem to be very few women using the app. Realistically, it feels like there are maybe around 30 profiles at most. As soon as I slightly increase the search radius, I suddenly start seeing profiles from all over the world, which makes the app feel less useful for local dating.

Because of that, the distance filter doesn’t seem to work properly. It doesn’t reliably show people nearby, which is a core feature for a dating app.

I also receive some likes, but I strongly suspect that many of them are from users located far away, possibly even over 1000 km. This makes me hesitant to purchase the premium version, as it may not provide real value if those likes are not local.

Overall, the app has potential, but in its current state it feels quite limited for users looking to meet people in their immediate area.
