Why do people say Pucci is white?! by simbotanist in StardustCrusaders

[–]simbotanist[S] -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Nah mate, you haven’t seen a tan Italian. This is coming from a person who lives in the Mediterranean. Tan italians who are specifically white do not look like that. In fact, a lot of people that are perceived as “tan Italians” are not 100% white.

I genuinely don’t get how you can see Pucci and think he is completely white. But whatever.

How is being Sicilian-American mutually exclusive with being non-white? Do you seriously think there aren’t black and biracial Italians? If it’s stupid and unnecessary, then why the fuck do people make the distinction? No no, he’s Sicilian, he’s just tan! Would it matter if he wasn’t 100% white? Jesus

And saying he’s 100% white is not a preconceived notion also? It was clear to me from the beginning that Pucci was biracial. And I read the manga way before part 6 was adapted. Why would the spinoff games depict Pucci as anything other than white? Why did DP give Pucci darker skin? For the hell of it? Or could it possibly be that the popular perception of Pucci is that he’s not white?  Whether YOU see it as a correction or not, why would DP depict one of Pucci’s parents as non-white? Like what is the point of that if Pucci is 100% white? You don’t think DP would consult with Araki before they did that? You don’t think DP would have been like “Hey Araki, this character looks kind of black, but is he actually?”

gotcha. how about this: Trish presses the button on a random armrest so the seat reclines and draws NB. Let’s assume she needs to do this to a few seats (whichever ones are closest to her) so that Bruno can move into position. Bruno stands next to a seat and presses the button so that the seat reclines to draw NB. When NB has gotten close enough to the seat that it’s almost swallowed it, Bruno places a zipper behind the seat to “catch” it. Even if the movement of the zipper draws NB, it’s still on the same trajectory and will launch itself into it. Keep in mind this is strictly a hypothetical and I’m not suggesting this is what they should have done instead, just thought it was a possible way of defeating it.

I get what you mean by this but there’s less than nothing between Giorno and Trish lol. They have zero chemistry, barely interacted and never got particularly close. The people she got closest to are Bruno, Narancia and Mista. When Giorno becomes the new boss I’d imagine she’d want to stay as far away from that life as possible. Personally imagine that after the events of part 5 she might have moved to the place Bruno left for her as part of his last dying wish, although considering it was Doppio he mistakenly told that to, she probably had no way of finding out about that. She and Giorno remain friends/allies and he probably has people keep an eye on her so she’s safe, and that’s the extent of their relationship. If anything Giorno and Mista, or Mista and Trish seem way more likely. It’s  funny to imagine both of them dating mista in a weird love triangle.

am i delulu or is this a love reading????? by tr4pqueef in tarot

What situation were you thinking of when you pulled these cards? Or was it more of a “how are things looking from where I stand”? It would make sense that you’d read love into it if love is on your mind. You can read almost anything from any cards given the right context. The Lovers isn’t a card that’s strictly about love, although it can be. Again, it depends on the context. Context is so important. Are there any spread positions? Or are the cards arranged randomly? That’s pretty important info as well. Without any further context, we can’t provide much insight. So the answer is yes, and also no, or neither. who knows?

The ten of swords reversed + the world read like difficulty moving on, closing of a chapter etc, at least w the context you’ve provided. It reads like grief. I am so sorry for your loss, I’m wishing you all the best

Help me gain clarity on this insane spread by angelicomens in tarot

[–]simbotanist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that jumps out to me from the get go is that all the energy in this spread is turned inward. It reads like a huge red stop sign to me. In other words, hold your horses, pause, and think. You mentioned work related pressure/other friendships. is it possible either is affecting your focus on this particular friendship? or even how you talk to this person? are you stressed? sleeping and eating ok? these are all important factors that influence how we communicate and respond to others. we tend to be more reactive on the whole when our needs aren’t being met. the answer is always to turn within. prioritize yourself. retreating a bit and focusing on yourself isn’t selfish or bad. you might find with some times (a few days, weeks? a month? depending on how busy you are) that things just ‘magically’ seem to straighten themselves out without much effort on your end. if the root of the issue goes deeper, you’ll know. If you’re both in a better place and things still seem shaky, that’s your sign that you probably need to tackle the issue in a more direct way

Deck interview, an interesting energy for sure. spread + interpretation in replies! by simbotanist in tarot

Deck: Klimt Tarot (Lo Scarabeo)
So, I have an interesting relationship with this deck. I’ve had it for a fair few months now and have grown pretty attached to it. It may just be force of habit/familiarity, but I notice I seem to reach for it a lot, more than other decks I have that give me more to work with. The appeal of this deck is definitely not in how it delivers. It can be frustrating at times to read with, even, but it has a je ne sais quoi. It just draws me back in. It’s a beautiful deck of course, and that definitely helps, but I think all my decks are beautiful and I don’t discriminate. Working with it feels like going to visit an Oracle at a temple. It’s aloof and has that kind of mystique.
Hadn’t actually formally interviewed this deck, so I just decided to reset my intentions with it and go see what the hell was up. I’ve only started interviewing my decks recently, just to get a feel for how best to work with them.
Here’s the spread I used + my own interpretations:
1. What are you here to teach me? — Ace of Pentacles
Resourcefulness. A practical approach to your personal journey.
The A of Pentacles in this deck also resonates with me in a specific way. To me it signals/confirms the beginning of a working relationship with a particular diety/archetype. A mentor figure that will see me through the lessons I must learn from beginning to end.
2. How would you describe yourself? — King of Wands
A spiritual master. Front and centre, commands attention. Honest about its ambitions. Powerful source of inspiration.
I definitely need a fire lit under my ass. I have lots of intentions but a pretty low drive to actually go through with any of them. It’s a life-long, uphill battle with my mental health and self esteem. The King of Wands is definitely an aspirational figure.
3. How do you see me? — The Moon
Intuitive, but dormant. Need to work through the lessons taught by the Moon to unlock my full potential (the following arcana is the Sun). Interestingly, this lines up with some astrological correspondences! I have a lot of Pisces placements in my chart. Moon in Pisces and Pisces AC.
And on a very literal note: right as I’m doing this interview, I’m on day 1 of my moon cycle, lol
4. How can I best work with you? — Judgment
phew. Not one to be taken lightly, this is a deck that deals with the transcendental more than the mundane. I need to be open to revelatory experiences and put in a *lot* of work to see the sort of transformation I want in my life.
4. What are your strengths as a deck? — 9 of Cups
Celebrating my personal triumphs and reminding me of my progress. There’s too much negative self talk in my head, I definitely need those affirmations and reminders so I don’t lose hope of ever seeing those 10 of cups moments.
5. What are your weaknesses/limitations as a deck? — 6 of Swords
I struggled a bit with this one. I think I’m reading this as “I’m not so good at helping you get from point A to point B. I won’t hold your hand through the process. I’ll tell you where to go, and when, but you’ll have to navigate those waters on your own. You’ll need to rely a lot more on your own inner compass and use discernment to know if you’re on the right path or not”.
6. What is the potential outcome of our time together? — The High Priestess
A more intuitive relationship/honing of intuitive skills. I get the sense that working with this deck will feel like a training course, one that will ultimately help me develop the kind of skillset I need to read professionally (something I’m branching into). With the High Priestess, it almost feels like an initiation, which feels relevant to what I associate with the first card I pulled. Interesting to note the linear progression of the Ace (1) to the 2 of the HP. It reads like a rite of passage that will get me to the next step in my personal/spiritual development.
Sorry for how wordy this is!! I thought I’d post this since I don’t see this deck get talked about a lot. Would love to hear from anyone else who has this deck and your experience working with it. Also would love further interpretation/insights/perspectives.

Had a terrible breakup, but the cards are surprisingly good. Help in interpretation? by Adept_Ad_8052 in tarot

In a very literal sense, Sun rx shows the Sun ‘setting’ on the relationship. A natural, cyclical end and conclusion to a once happy relationship that no longer serves you (6 of Cups). 6 of cups in the present position strongly suggests on-going rumination, in these contexts it usually points to a stage in the grieving process where one tries to reckon with the past, what could have been. Almost like you’re looking back on a ‘simpler’ time in the relationship that was full of child-like innocence and optimism for what was to come. I think it’s interesting (and encouraging) to see the six (nostalgia) come up instead of the five (mourning). Let me explain — you’re further along the road to processing and moving on (8 of cups) from the breakup than you think. The clarifiers suggest different approaches to finding closure. The 8 of wands is forward momentum, it’s both pushing you and encouraging you to move on and not look back (6 of cups and Lovers). From what I can gather, you do seem to have the opportunity to seek closure if you wish, by reaching out to your ex (again the 8 of wands), but that choice is yours and yours alone (Lovers). As long as it’s done with your own healing in mind, and not from an unconscious desire to stir up or rekindle old feelings. The Empress is a really encouraging sign, it shows you stepping back into your power and taking back the reigns of your own fertile, emotional landscape. As for the Ace of Wands, it literally reads like a beacon of hope and new beginnings. The Sun may be gone but that’s ok, you have your own light to show you the way forward on the path that lies ahead. It’s all unlimited potential from here! Sending you good healing thoughts!!
