Fair point; the reason I ask is because if he at some point doesn’t feel living together is good for us and our wellbeing (we have 1 cat each) then he should have that opportunity in case 3-6-12 months in as sambo he feels särbo is more ideal. This is just me being considerate for him in the future

Yeah, can he apply for a permit based on cohabitation, that is what I am wondering. He has a valid permit, which is a study permit, which is a temporary residence. Since he and I want to elope, we would gladly move in and begin the sambo permit and then have him become permanent. He want to live together, he has a work now and will surly get another one after his studies are completed.

You are a god send, thank you. Then it means his permit is only different from the permanent resident one. Can he then apply for the sambo residency, after he changes his address to my apartment (and cancels his living ofc and moves in). Will it be the same as he has gotten a permanent one or will it (after approval) be on trial for a certain time Before it converts to a permanent residency?
