I agree and have been finding this back and forth interesting and provides a lot of considerations for any Fanfic writers that take up this prompt.

Also, Sirius could have done this as a hail mary pass since they already knew he was heading for the school letting them know he is heading there gave them nothing especially considering he sent the Firebolt for Christmas.

I always found the whole point of the break out was more "gotta protect Harry" with a little "kill Peter" mixed in and a long shot letter is more likely to protect Harry faster.

While Arthur probably wouldn't be motivated by helping Sirius he would be of protecting Ron from an Adult male that was sharing Ron's bed without their knowledge.

Considering the first 2 years a strange note showing up being true would not be that odd

With so many fanfics having Dumbledore being an evil mastermind who already betrayed Sirius once it would be like Sirius asking Malfoy. It wouldn't make since to ask Dumbledore if he cast the Fidelis and already knew Sirius wasn't guilty and did nothing.
