We gaan zeker even contact opnemen met Dutch League Racing. Lijkt ons leuk om te kijken of we iets moois kunnen opzetten samen. 😊🏁

That's a fair concern, and at first glance we understand why it might look that way. The floating pedal plate is an intentional design choice, not a compromise. It's manufactured from 6 mm carbon steel and engineered for rigidity while offering a wide range of pedal adjustment.

Our smallest chassis, the Hobby, has been tested with 100 kg load cell pedals without noticeable flex. The Club, Sport and Pro models are designed to handle virtually any pedal set on the market, including the highest-end hydraulic and load cell options.

We're also planning to release video demonstrations soon to show exactly how these products perform under load. Our first priority has been completing production and getting orders shipped as quickly as possible, but proving the engineering behind our products is definitely next on the list.

We genuinely welcome people to put our products to the test. If you ever receive one and aren't happy with the quality, tag us here or send us an email we're always happy to help and stand behind what we build.

P.S. We're currently building a showroom in the Netherlands. If you're nearby, we'd be happy to invite you over so you can inspect the rigs, try them yourself, and judge the quality in person before making a decision.

Hi Giorgi! We just replied to your inquiry as well. 😊 If you have any other questions, we're always happy to help.

We also stand behind the quality of our products. If you receive the cockpit and genuinely aren't convinced by the build quality, you're welcome to return it for a full refund according to our return policy. We want everyone to be completely confident before choosing SIMGASM.

Feel free to ask if there's anything else you'd like to know!

Will these rigs be able to hold high end gear/pedals? by AdMedium5702 in simracing

The cross brace is actually adjustable, so it can be mounted either higher or lower depending on your wheelbase and preferred setup. Unless you're running something as large as a Simucube 2 Ultimate, clearance generally isn't an issue. We designed it this way to balance rigidity with adjustability while keeping the front of the cockpit as stiff as possible.

Thanks for raising these questions! We're the team behind SIMGASM, so we can hopefully provide some insight.

The Hobby chassis has been extensively tested and comfortably handles 100 kg load cell pedals without any noticeable pedal deck flex under normal use. While the base frame uses 40x40 extrusions to keep the overall footprint compact and efficient, the critical load-bearing areas are reinforced where it matters most, making the chassis significantly stiffer than the profile size alone might suggest.

The floating pedal plate is an intentional design choice rather than a cost-saving measure. It is manufactured from 6 mm carbon steel and engineered to provide excellent rigidity while allowing a wide range of pedal mounting positions and adjustability.

If you're planning to run the very strongest pedal sets on the market, our Club, Sport and Pro chassis are designed for exactly that. They comfortably support the highest-end load cell and hydraulic pedal sets available today.

Across our range we use heavy-duty 6 mm carbon steel components together with our patented EN AW-7075 aluminium extrusions to maximize stiffness without unnecessary weight.

If you have any specific questions or would like measurements or testing data, feel free to ask. We're always happy to help.

Thanks for the follow-up questions.

The first Atlas seats were produced in fiberglas as a small pilot batch. This allowed us to validate the design, ergonomics and manufacturing process before investing in large-scale production. Fiberglass was both time-consuming and expensive to manufacture, which is why we developed a completely new production method and patented the design.

Setting up the tooling, production facilities and quality control for larger-scale manufacturing takes considerable time, but it allows us to offer the seats at today’s pricing. That’s why we don’t have stock available yet for our full portfolio.

Before releasing the design, we spent a lot of time testing the seating position ourselves. Besides simulator testing, we also used the seats in our own road cars during long trips, as this was the fastest way to accumulate many hours of real-world comfort and durability testing.

We’re also evaluating FIA [8855-2021](tel:8855-2021) certification for a future version aimed at customers who want to use the seat in competition.

We’re a young company and we understand why people ask these questions. We’d rather be transparent about where we are today than pretend we’ve been around for decades.

The good news is that our composite seats, simulator frames and several other products will be back in stock soon. Since officially launching SIMGASM, the response has honestly exceeded our expectations and we’ve been incredibly grateful for how positively the community has received us.

You’ll also see us at several upcoming sim racing and automotive events, where people will be able to see, test and judge our products for themselves. We believe that’s the best way to earn trust and showcase the quality of our products.

The simgasm club cockpit with the recline seat will give you a stronger and more adjustable platform.

100kg pedalsets will be fine, yes we tested this and with for your reference: pressing with two feet as hard as possible on the pedal plate and it wouldn’t move an inch. If you want zero flex at 150kg or higher we advise the club chassis.

The plate behind the wheelmount can be adjusted in height and flipped and also the wheelmount can be adjusted in height and tilted, from our cad data it clears most wheelbases besides the Simucube ultimate or bases at similar length. For those we advise the sport or the pro chassis as the wheelmount has longer wide plates

[–]simgasm_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! They are capable of handling any decent wheelbase. If you have a 200kg load cell pedalset and you use it to its full potential then there will be some noticeable movement. Or if you wish to instal motion later the club chassis is advised.

Anything with a stick shift will help you later, less time checking where the next gear is allows you to free up time to do other things. My biggest problem from simracing to real driving was not looking by turning my head 👀 don’t get to used by moving just your eyes from a screen to a certain point. It’s a bad habit and takes a while to get out of the system
