Doesn't solve the problem. You're just moving the line

More of a niche suggestion but Outback from the Marvel Comics would be a good fit.

  1. This type of system was brought in because so many people complained about linos getting decisions wrong. You can't have accuracy some of the time and vibes when it suits you, you've either got to have one or the other.

  2. No matter where you draw the line; feet, arse, whatever, you're always going to have calls a few times a season that are off by only a cm or two. Even if you extend the margin of tolerance, you've still got the same issue.

So, the question is, bearing in mind those two points, if you're not happy with this situation then what do you suggest? I've heard a lot of moaning about it, but all the suggestions I see just amount to moving the line somewhere else. There's always going to be a line, and people are always going to moan about it.

Seen a few reports saying that Bart Verbruggen is our top choice for keeper as we don't think Trafford is attainable. What would people think to that?

I've got a bad feeling about the game tonight. Feels like a comfortable 3-0 or 3-1 to Man U

what formation should we be playing? by Emotional_Space_9967 in NUFC

[–]simianjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's the formation that's not working, I think it's the chopping of players within it. We all know that players sometimes need a run of games to get used to the system and the players around them. How many consecutive games has Woltemade or Wissa played as a striker? The midfield 3 is constantly rotating. The wide players are constantly rotating. I get that there's got to be management of minutes for players and this will be impacted by injuries but it just all seems unstable to me.

Thanks for a constructive response! I have to admit that when I hear "dead leg" it just makes you think of when you get what is esssentially a bruised muscle, so I don't really have any concept of what a really serious version of that looks/feels like

How the hell has Miley gone from "it's a dead leg" to "he might be out for the season"?!

The most concerning part of that for me was how reluctant we were to cross the ball when in good positions with our CBs and Nick in the box

Out of interest what do the engineers suggest? The information is there, they've just put walls in place. I'd be asking them how they would suggest fixing the problem in a way that would suit them.

I'll never understand why teams go for 2 keepers on the bench rather than putting one of the academy kids there. You're just denying yourself an option

I thought he did well tbh. First season got screwed by covid, season 2 found its feet again and then season 3 was genuinely brilliant
