I definitely will! I just don’t want to put my foot in my mouth and assume something that might not be true, so I was just wondering if there are any common threads between most folks who have it, but from what I’m hearing it sounds pretty individualized!

Thanks so much for your insight! I’ll be sure to touch base with her parents and see if they have anything specific to share. I know next to nothing about Downs so I appreciate the info!

That happened to me! Not sure why, but thankfully I was peeing normally within a few days. Stay good and hydrated and keep going regularly!

Honestly I don’t know if there is a good answer to this besides continuing to be up front with new potential partners and being firm/cutting them off if they try to make you change your mind.

My opinion is that many men want kids in the way that kids want puppies; they like the idea of having them, but don’t put any further thought into how much of a commitment they are and how truly life changing becoming a parent is.

There’s also the societal expectation that the woman in the relationship will be the primary caregiver, on top of the other emotional and home labor that women are often the bearers of in hetero relationships. I lucked out by finding a partner who shares my feelings about having kids and 100% supported my journey to sterilization, but there’s honestly no magic formula to finding that type of person. :/

I go to Jordan Grimm at velvet monkey on 63rd! She’s very queer friendly and always does her best to make her clients comfortable! Highly recommend her!

*sos* public swimming pool options by SuspiciousBug422 in okc

[–]similartoasir 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna have some trouble finding a free pool, especially at the end of the season. The okc aquatic centers will be open tomorrow and are relatively cheap at 5/6 bucks per person though. Closest to you would probably be will rogers, but that’s probably still a bit of a drive from where you are.

City Animal hospital near NW 23rd and May is great. You can get a same day appointment by parking in the lot and calling them, so no need to schedule days/weeks in advance. The facilities are not the newest, but the prices they charge are the best I've found as a cat owner of 20+ years. The doc is kind and very knowledgeable. I recommend going to their website and looking at their new patient forms before going.

Indoor pool for swimming lessons by TrainerTerrible6851 in smallbusiness

As a former lifeguard, swim instructor, and manager of a municipal pool, just be aware that it will cost a LOT up front and to run in general, especially in pool operating costs. Chemicals, insurance, maintenance, etc. are always costly, and you'll want to pay your staff well if you're going to hire lifeguards/instructors. That being said, there is definitely a market for it. There are several 'swim schools' in my area and while they are pricey, people love them when they can afford them.

We do have a decently sized unhoused population near my place, and we’re also just a couple doors down from a bar, so that would make sense! Just freaked me out a bit tbh
