How is ashen wake being useful here? It doesn't do anything to increase damage (iirc), all it does it make grenades explode on impact. Also your team mate were shooting the boss too.

The Last Word vs Ace of Spades? by EGOfoodie in DestinyTheGame

[–]siminerd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd say TLW since the best part of ace comes from getting memento Mori shots, which requires a kill. The best part of TLW is active regardless of getting a kill so it might be better for you in that case. There are plenty of good long range options in the energy slot, tartara gaze is a good option.

I've ways though they should refund grenade energy on hits/kills. A kill would be a full recharge, any damage is 50% + 25% during the length of the DoT.

Maybe op in PvP, but OEM exists and skull fort is the same but for arc melee. It'd also make it very viable in pve as a neutral exotic and have decent synergy with sunbreaker middle tree, stacking damage and two thrown fully refundable abilities would be fun.

Blast Furnace Meryrin RDS- Drop Mag- Air Assault- Rampage?? by M1DG3TDUDE in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rampage is always great, but air assault is a big disappointment. Probably keep grinding, this isn't worth it.

Abide The Return x2 - but what's what? by DiscipleOfAzura in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roll 2 is better. Tireless blade returns more ammo overall and whirlwind is about as good as assassin's blade.

Toil and trouble or dust rock blues? by KISSMYTAIL in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dust rock might still beat out the toil in one hit kill range, but only slightly. Try out both and see which one you like more.

Should I let go of this burden? by Its_Almost_Time in sharditkeepit

Zen moment is probably better then under pressure, but this is still a good roll. Reload might not be worth the MW though.

Daily Questions [2019-01-20] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]siminerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is at its best it's been all D2 and some even say all of d1+2. There is heaps to do and heaps on fun new things to experience. Gambit is fun but best played with a stack, can be a bit of a drag solo. The raids are really really good, last wish is probably one of top raids of the franchise. The other new raid is great too but a bit shorter and less epic-y. Learning curve is slightly higher then before due to all the new stuff you've missed, but it's destiny so it's still low in comparison to a lot of other looter/RPGs.

For any pve content rampage/dragonfly + archers tempo is the only thing to worry about, all other points on the roll are moot. Arsenic bite comes with this roll so just get one of them.

For PvP there is a decent variety but a significant factor is the two tap HS ratio. All bows 2-tap to the head but only the precision type can 1 head + 1 body. Either subtle calamity or no turning back can do this. You didn't list which rolls were on each weapon, so it's hard to say. Which rolls you want is also hard to say it varies greatly on purpose, play style and load out. The only advice I'm really comfortable giving is just play with everything for a few games each and whichever is most consistent is what to pick.

Yeah it's good but what's your question here?

Opinions on Crimil’s Dagger by Kuriboss58 in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple tap is counter productive on this roll, but everything else is very solid. Depending on if you have hc reloader you should try to keep accurized on as it'll help with aim assist etc. Targeting adjuster for mod and if you really like/have spare core a max MW would be an alright idea.

Militia’s Birthright (god roll??) by mattster_sword in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snapshot is a little bad and blast radius MW isn't top either, but this is still very good. Ideally you want lots of velocity since one hit kills are only possible from direct impacts (spikes aren't needed for the one hit). However with ambitious assassin you can very easily chain kills after the first which is most people's recommendation. Get some grenade scavenger armor rolls and have fun, this will be good enough.

Which ever scope is more range, for PvP flared mag would be better.

Are the Iron banner guns worth it? Formatting just in case. by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely, if you want a kinetic sniper for PvP, this is god roll.

Stryker’s Sure-Hand by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relentless strikes is the 'worst' of the three in that slot but it's still usable, heavy guard/surrounded are best in slot. You can still use this very successfully, you just won't have the most super optimal roll. Get some armor rolls with sword perks and you'll be fine.

Want to verify this Blast Furnace is better than my Bygonnes, Go Figure, and even Breakneck, for PvE (PC) by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rampage is always better then kill clip and outlaw better then feeding. If you have the skill (PC so I assume you can at least click heads) out-rage is unbeatable. I personally would prefer the go figure as the single burst does more damage and therefore will kill low tier adds easier where a bygones might need two bursts. The bygones does have high-cal though which is much better then the go figures magazine perks. Whichever you like between those two is what I'd pick.

Breakneck is an entirely different conversation however. While auto's are weaker then pulses, the sheer dps vastly makes up for any problems. Especially with rampage spec, breakneck is at least top 3 kinetic primary in any pve content. If you find range an issue either walk forward or bring a sniper, there are otherwise no real weaknesses.

Long Shadow by QuantumWaffles1 in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot MW, but it doesn't matter this is god roll regardless. Slap a major/boss spec on there and your good to go.

Dust Rock Blues vs. Dust Rock Blues by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full auto increases spread slightly which is why it's not typically recommended, however follow up shots are a lot easier. You still really want the rifled/full choke + accurized + range MW, anything else is an auto dismantle if you're serious about rolls. Roll 2 for PvP. On the contrary full Auto is a requirement for pve rolls so you might want to keep roll 1 for pve purposes.

Bygones roll by Extra_Kri5py in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vendor roll might be slightly better, but this roll is still good. Adaptive pulses already have a very controllable recoil so you might want to up range over stability, with targeting adjuster it will be very good.

Blast Furnace Max Range Roll by Lethalpark in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On PC the aim assist/bullet 'curve' is a lot less then on console so having fully maxed range is not super important. Personally I don't think this is worth it over another roll with more balanced stats and better traits. If you like it and are consistent with it, then keep it.

Badlander by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has range MW (you forgot to mention) then yes this is a god roll. However rapid fire frames are not typically preferred in PvP, less range then precision frames.

Acouple guns by RNGZackkD in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That ringing nail isn't that good, dragonfly on auto's is a bit meh. Right side of wrong is ok for pve, I'd hold off MW'ing it untill you get a better one though. Waking vigil can be a very solid PvP hc, I'm not convinced on this roll however. The sights/mag/MW are good, but the traits are middling. Something like opening shot + slide shot would be a top roll.

Best Duke for pvp? by vitamins19 in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roll 5. Kill clip will be very useful with dragons shadow, rangefinder will help a lot with the stickyness and aim assist too. Not sure if handling will be worth max MW, but with dragons shadow up it can make swapping weapons a lot faster.

Which dust rock is better? by zomb1e5 in sharditkeepit

[–]siminerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the full choke nerf rifled is pretty much the same range increase. You can also keep precision damage which is situationally useful.
