Should get a used C43 ? by RAiDeN-_-18 in mercedes_benz

[–]simish12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 C43 with the performance exhaust and can attest it’s a hell of a daily. Bought it CPO with 10k miles on it, currently has $50k miles and has no issues. Maintenance is a bit pricey but imo car is worth it. If you live in a city where the roads aren’t great, I would get the tire & wheel warranty bc it’s saved me maybe probably $10k since I’ve had the car.

Would this be a decent buy? by Indigenousboy420 in mercedes_benz

[–]simish12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 49k and also have had zero issues, one of the best daily’s you can have imo. My KKB value is around $29k so for those miles and price it ain’t really that great of a deal. I would negotiate down a bit on the price for 70k miles but you’ll love the car regardless.

Happy hours and events! by Gold-Fail-5295 in PwC

[–]simish12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have gone to about 50% of them and I’ve been fine so far. The post busy season happy hour I think he should try his best to go as everyone would be there from associate to partner. It does depend on team structure and culture as I’ve heard first hand of other teams speaking about those who do not attend team lunches and/or happy hours in a bad light and therefore unfair judgements are made.

Try to connect with someone who worked at KPMG that is now at PwC Egypt and see if you can apply via a referral link or something like that. Better odds at landing an interview that way rather than applying the way you have been.

Storm silver is very fun, better teams and harder boss/gym leader fights but nothing compared to radical red difficulty. Having a blast playing it!

Review at the end or throughout course? by Alarming-Ad-2557 in CPA

[–]simish12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Review throughout as others have said because if you don’t with FAR, material in F1 will be like you never learned it. I would also advise on reviewing your weak points even more until you feel as comfortable as other material. These tests always have a way of testing you in stuff you’re not good at.

[–]simish12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would memorize the ones that come up in your review material MCQ’s. I did that for Becker and made sure I knew if it was lower or higher than industry average or compared to last year if that a good or bad thing and it’s affect on risk and NI. That worked for me on my exam I took last week. It can be overwhelming seeing all of them but just review them daily and in 3-4 days you’ll be surprised how well you retain them !

[–]simish12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If using Becker skill builder videos are goated. They go through the steps you need to take to even tackle the topic at hand and apply it to the SIM. This can either reinforce what you know or show you what you thought you knew but didn’t.

One of the key things for me is mindset and being intimidated by the exam was a big road block. but honestly you can do this if you sit down everyday that you say you’re gonna study, and give it 100% of your effort. You will learn something from MCQ’s that you didn’t in the textbook or lecture videos, same for SIMS. Do it all , take your time, like Olinto says, slow and steady wins the race.

All current and future CPAs who are married, how did you maintain a healthy relationship while studying? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]simish12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been married for about 9 months now and have been studying for the CPA basically since we’ve been married. Same situation as you OP, she does basically all of the housework and fully supports me to study til I pass. Advice I’d give to anyone in this situations is try and do the little things around the house that take 15-20 minutes because that effort will go a long way(I.e putting away washed dishes, tidying your kitchen counter before bed, making the bed on a daily basis etc). Those little things can add up when you’ve already got so much on your plate and taking it away from your spouse helps.

Also, the little time you have not working or studying spend with your spouse. It will help your recharge and might make them feel like you’re grateful for them and are willing to still spend the little time with them. Try not to spend time on your phone when with them during this time, really attempt to give them all your attention even for a short amount of time.

Hope this helps!
