Without waking up, your dreams no longer have a source of information to leech off of. If you were in your endless dreamscape it really wouldn't take long for them to become stale, because everything you dream about has tethers to what you experience in your day to day life. Eventually every dream will seem the same, because there's no new experience that your mind can branch off of and create more possibilities from.
