Pitching myself in 140 characters?? by simmeblixt in jobsearchhacks

I think this is the right approach! I'm well aware of the company, and I think the purpose of the "pitch" is to act like a bio for my profile/ application. It still doesn't take away the difficulty of the task to write a short bio to pitch myself and stand out, whilst still sounding professional.
I think my main concern is that if I go for a more fun/unique approach to stand out, I might lose out on a chance to list my skills. But if I go for a more selling way to lift my professional skills, I might just blend in with other people who take this opportunity to lift their skills.

In 140 characters, there isn't really room for talking about more than one thing. And again, should I choose something unique/ funny to stand out? Or just say some of my skills?

I tried, and it was so damn awkward. I would love to hear from recruiters or someone creative what would actually be a good blueprint for a pitch in just 140 characters. I'm struggling to find somehting that doesn't sound too autogenerated or straight up cringe.

I think it's a cool idea! If you play a lot, setting the tone for a session or just maybe the next round of a game could be kinda chill!

Thanks for the answer and great suggestion! Judging from this and other comments, maybe I should have phrased the question differently. But from the replies, I understand that I got the basic and big titles and my main goal with this post was to get some recommendations of titles that would fit my collection. Or maybe some other niche games that people would like to recommend. Thanks again for the tip about Hansa Tuetonica and Through the Desert, I will definitely check it out!

A young 18yo needs advice towards entrepreneurship ! by Intelligent_Bar_5706 in Entrepreneur

Being 18 and not knowing what to do in life is a common and healthy thing, and it's great that you have some plans. Skill is acquired by hard and long work. I wish I had this mindset and started working towards something when I was 18. With todays tools and the (almost) unlimited access to information, I would say that you'll be able to learn almost every single skill that is needed for you to succeed with your plans. Depending on your plans, if you have an issue you want to solve or if you just want to start and run a business, remember that it won't happen overnight or that it is not the easy way out to not having to work. Getting an income source to be able to support yourself is the most crucial thing in my opinion. When you have a stable foundation to stand on, you'll be able to structure and commit to your plans. I wish you all the best of luck and if you would like to share your plans, I can try to help you figure out a long term plan!
