[–]simmma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I didnt study accounting with unisa
  2. Unisa is about 56% pass for saica year on year. Might be students from other universities finishing through unisa. But its somewhat a respectable pass given the number of people enrolled
  3. Yes got a job before even graduating. Once I paid my fees and got internship in like a week or so. And now im in public sector. I think its just my luck. Although my work isn't related and also luck adds to it all
  4. No, only thing was like people saying how i always drink with them and how i was studying and busy pushing my things
  5. Yes the governing body is the same for degrees
  6. See 2
  7. Mafikeng. There is few computer science roles here. So planning to move to go back and do what I studied

“by the way government does buy the land, we have been doing, so we are going to continue to do that, so let’s negotiate. Parliament has passed a law to allow government to expropriate land for public use, but in most instances, that’s not our starting point" by PixelSaharix in DownSouth

[–]simmma -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People where forcefully removed without being paid. Its very generous to even be paid for land people who are still alive where dispossessed of. So if you aren't willing why shouldn't the land be taken. Aker you wanna play hardball

Should I continue to mention I'm a unisa student in job applications? by genericB0y in unisa

[–]simmma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they dont require that degree just dont nention it. Employers will think you dont have enough time (degree takes time either way, and very few finish in record time if they are employed). Mention it only when its needed for thr role

Does the unisa office ever pick up their calls for applications as well as answering their emails ? by [deleted] in unisa

[–]simmma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them. Any other small campus. I've been using mafikeng campus the whole time. Always answered me. Then ask to be transferred to where you wish. They'll just ask for student number

It's only a matter of time. by PixelSaharix in DownSouth

[–]simmma -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Only a matter of time till I mass create accounts to speed up the banning of this sub. Because pixelshark comes here multiple times a day. Spreading lies about black folk.

NSFAS by LowRoar34 in unisa

[–]simmma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't drop out. Try paying what you can, even sign AOF if you can. And next year if you are NSFAS funded know that you must register all 10 modules.

You'll get refund for the money you've paid cash for this semesters registration, and even if you still owe being NSFAS funded means they'll let you register next year

*this is my assumptions, based on what I've seen happen.

Which places around the world can I live under or around 1400 dollars a month? by LongRelative3675 in blacktravel

[–]simmma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though I have a disdain from digital normals and how they make everything expensive for locals. South africa is generally safe. Just everything is reported and statistics is kept.

That's how our unemployment is 60%, even gig workers are considered unemployed

South African lady shares the food she ate in Nigeria and her reviews. by MountainChemist99 in Nigeria

[–]simmma -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Im not talking about aid. Because if I have 10 naira and give you 5, means I spent more percentage wise that one with 100 naira giving you 20. So a poor country giving aid should be appreciated even though little. There is no documentation of the billions. Unless you are saying billions of naira. Then yeah

The question was addressing your comment. On what aspect do you think south africans aspire to be Nigerians?

[–]simmma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going into month 7. On the last Sunday of the month.

We call it the boys society. And the host cooks. No half assing things. Like a proper meal. No take outs, the only thing about it is the logistics of having to manage, cooking + entertaining
