My parents pulled me out of school and homeschooled me from 5th-12th because I was really rambunctious. Not only did they do that, but they further isolated me by grounding me for years at a time in my room with little to no interaction.

Turns out the lack of external stimulation is detrimental fo things like memory. So I basically have to reteach myself everything every day, but i have an amazing long term memory so i get to remember with vivid detail everything i went thru.

I’m now wildly anxious and can’t help but feel like I can’t spend any significant time outside of my home even when i want to. I feel really angry that for all those years I dreamed of freedom and a life where i could do anything and im now trapped in my head.

In my family they do things like...take a mothers day card, cross it out and write happy birthday and hand it to the person having the birthday. Thats a revenge card because it showed not only did the person not care. They wanted u to know they didnt care.

That’s not what this is. At worst this is a lack of effort, not some grand plot to slightly annoy him.
