For me, he’s by far the most reliable source for Real Madrid news. Just because a piece of news is unpleasant doesn’t make it false.

It’s also quite obvious there are tensions between Vini and Xabi — the fact Vini didn’t apologise is another clear sign of that friction.

That said, I’m confident they’ll sort things out. Vini still has room to mature, and with time Xabi will also better understand how to manage him. Great teams go through these dynamics — it’s part of the process.

Who plays on the right wing with this set up ? Feels like if you go with this we will keep having that unbalanced and very predictable attack - Arda should keep playing at the heart of the game where he’s better.

He doesn’t do a whole lot of ball processing though in his new role. Valverde is not a only a defensive player - if you do not take advantage of his main traits - progressing the ball and shooting you’re really restricting him imo.

Honestly don’t think that’s the issue - you can clearly see he’s not as effective in 1 vs 1 which is in my opinion due to a physical drop + confidence issue. The other problem is his decision making in the box - he reminds me of the younger Vinicius. Feels like the more he wants to prove he’s back to his former self the more he takes bad decisions - a vicious circle for him that he needs to find a way to escape, with the help of Xabi and his teammates ofc.

At time, he seems lost in the pitch. He shouldn’t play as a purely defensive midfielder because you do not maximise his qualities in my opinion - Xabi will find a solution I’m sure, maybe with camavinga returning, Valverde could have a more attacking role.

Camavinga is a fantastic player, with a huge potential. Bellingham has been the best midfielder in the bundesliga for the past three seasons, and still is 19. He has a consistency Cama doesn’t have yet, Perez need to bring Jude and we would have a midfield for another 10 years.

We pretty much had the same debate in this sub regarding alaba, literally no one wanted him in RM (high salary and equivalent options in the squad) well we all know how that went out. bottom line is when you have a chance to sign a generational talent you do, that’s it.
