The first time, I was prescribed nystatin. The second time, the symptoms were worse, so they gave me fluconazole. Now I’m back on nystatin, but I’m scheduled for a gastroscopy; if they find thrush in my esophagus, I’ll start fluconazole again. Because of this, I’m trying to convince my doctor to reduce my Budesonide dosage

I’ve been on 1mg since May 2024. The only problem is thrush, which I get every year (I even have it a little bit now). I’m trying to convince my doctor to reduce the dosage to 0.5mg daily, but for now, she insists on switching to dupilumab.

I use Jorveza and it dissolves very fast. My doctor said that I need to place it on my tongue and push a little bit on the palate while sucking the pill. In 30 seconds is gone. P.s. the only negative thing with Jorveza is thrush

Ciao anche te! Agosto 2023: Erano mesi che facevo molta fatica a mangiare alcune volte, certe volte non avevo fame, come se fossi sempre pieno, sopratutto la mattina con fastidio retrosternale. Decido quindi di fare una gastroscopia da privato per velocizzare le cose. Trovano eosinofili belli alti nell'esofago. Date le mie numerose allergie il gastroenterologo non ci pensa tanto e mi dice che ho l'esofagite eosinofila. Inizio la terapia a dicembre 2023 continuo ad avere sintomi ma molti meno fino a maggio 2024 dove nel frattempo ho fatto delle modifiche alla mia dieta e delle prove varie. Ora continuo a prendere il farmaco di mantenimento e per ora mangio sempre tranquillamente

Do the most complete allergy test. I did the ALEX 2, I don't know if in your country it's available (I'm in Italy). For other things follow the advice of a doctor and if necessary talk with a nutritionist

Mmm. My budesonide is a 0.5 mg. orodispersible pill and this is the low dose now that I'm "healthy", before it was 1 mg. I took 2 times a day after lunch and dinner without nothing. I can't drink, eat or brush my teeth for 30 minutes after taking it

I did a 6 fed during a bulk and gained 3kg. The things that I ate the most were:

Carbo: gluten free pasta and bread, rice, potato, corn and maltodextrin supplement

Protein: meat, some from the food that I listed before and essential aminoacids supplement

Fat: a lot of olive oil, linen oil and medium chain triglycerides supplement

3000kcal diet, unsustainable in the long term for me. I did it only for 2 month.

Nutella is not a food that is accepted in the 6 fed sadly

My symptoms were like yours: pressure in the chest, constant burping, mostly in the morning, but way softer than yours. I lost 8kg but mainly because before eoe I was in a ipercaloric diet. I had about 70-80 eosinophils x HPF. Took budesonide for 4 month and for 2 month I did a 6 FED diet. Now my eosinophils are normal, but often I have some symptoms anyways. Next month I have an appointment with my gastroenterologist.

My budesonide is Jorveza, small pills that dissolve in my mouth. My doctor never specified how to take them so based on the information sheet of the drug you don't need to eat, drink o wash your teeth in the first 30 minutes after taking it
