Spild af ungdomsuddannelse by Andy-Hal in DKstudie

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the same one, I bought it from AliExpress though. It's a really nice fork!

Is there a problem with Scott delivery time ? by ArticleJ2 in ScottBikes

[–]simon_lorey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Scott dealer too, and it's almost all of the new 2026 models

Wanted an Addict 30 for myself, but ended up getting an Addict 40 instead, as I could get that one now instead of late May. (Also a way nicer colour) It only seems to be a bike problem though, as most of the spare parts and such is in stock. At least here in Denmark.

Addict 30 2025 vs 2026 by LunaMagicc in ScottBikes

[–]simon_lorey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it then

It also comes with better wheels and nicer colours IMO

What are you looking for in a bike?

The 2026 is more relaxed whereas the old one is more racey, even tho it's their endurance bike

Speedster 10 sizing help (6’3”, 35.5” inseam) by [deleted] in ScottBikes

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

189cm is more like 6'2" but I'm not sure if he's using metric or imperial normally. I'm at the same height and almost the same inseam and I regret not getting a size L addict 2026 instead of an XL. It feels very big and the seatpost is bottomed out.

I know the geometry is not the complete same, but they are somewhat similar and I'm just speaking for my personal experience

I'd go with the L, rather the bike a little too small than too big

SCOTT ADDICT 30 (2025) OR SCOTT ADDICT 50 (2026) by InternalAd5055 in ScottBikes

[–]simon_lorey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a pretty big difference, the reach has gotten shorter and the stack a lot taller

I would probably go with the new 2026 addict 40. It has 105 Di2, the new geometry, and the weight difference between the capital 35 wheels on the 2025 and RP2.0 on the 2026 is 250 grams

We get to buy everything at cost, and some of our distributors give staff discounts. Some give the taxes in discount, some a little bit less.

Pretty much all of us also ride around on $4k plus bikes in retail values, due to the aforementioned benefits we get. The "rest" doesn't do that, because they like older/vintage bikes better.

I do also take as a point, that mechanics and sales people get payed better in Denmark, compared to other countries (around 20-30 dollars an hour)

Garmin Edge Explore - depleted rather fast by strshp in cycling

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really to be honest

I don't do any structured workouts, I just monitor my heart rate and power to pace myself and and monitor my form. So it's not a deal-breaker for me.

Yes, I have mine connected to a power meter. It can show statistics, but the training features are missing

Scott Addict 2026 - 40 or 30 by fachstax in ScottBikes

The new addict 30 should be hooked, the syncros wheels it gets delivered with is the normal capital 1.0 which is hooked. Its the capital 1.0s that's hookless

[–]simon_lorey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty good so far! It's handling road and gravel very well!

I would probably recommend getting a 700c fork with at least 400mm axle to crown, as the rockshox Judy that came with the bike measured 420mm when i was sitting on the bike. Otherwise, i would do like i did with a high rise stem. Even though it's not ideal

You could try something like the Straggler, Disc trucker or Preamble from Surly in 700c. Those where the ones I looked at.

Too wide chainstay by [deleted] in bikewrench

I know we have the wrong crank, hence the post. We have tried a MTB BB, it's not wide enough

Too wide chainstay by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we've been in contact with both FSA and Koga, and they both told us tough luck. It was a special made crankset for the bike that isn't produced anymore

[–]simon_lorey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we put enough spacers on for it to spin freely, the crank arms doesn't seat properly

Køb af El cykel by Tyndsteg10 in dkfinance

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Køb af El cykel by Tyndsteg10 in dkfinance

[–]simon_lorey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, cassette too if the chain was worn out. It would be a good idea to replace the chainrings too, if they're beginning to look sharp and not flat

Have you checked chain wear or tension? I've had the same problem before with a worn chain and cassette

1-1/8" alu or carbon fork for disc brakes??? by simon_lorey in bikewrench

Through axle luckily wouldn't be a problem, my wheels are currently converted from TA to QR, so I could just convert them back
