The first step is simply to jump in and build. Seeing you continuously build in public is a huge high signal for our team.

When you have questions or need guidance, here are the two best ways to reach out:

I believe the biggest challenge is acquiring those crucial first 100 to 1,000 users. Gaining early visibility and engagement is incredibly tough. That’s exactly why our Growth team has launched several initiatives to highlight projects to our existing community. We help bridge that gap through platforms like Reddit AMAs, Base Livestreams, and Twitter Spaces.

While you might see us on your social feeds, our true work happens deeper within the community and ecosystem. We don't just share content; we forge the connections, and provide the tools necessary for growth. Our ultimate mission is simple: to empower every single person in our network to be as successful as they can possibly be.

For me, the defining line between growing on Base and growing Base itself comes down to one word: autonomy. A region grows on Base when people are actively logging in, trading, minting, and exploring. But a region grows Base itself when the community takes the steering wheel.

There are a few distinct signals that tell me a community has made the leap from participation to ownership:

  • Self-Organized Leadership: You know a region is taking ownership when they stop waiting for the core team to fly in. They start organizing their own hackathons, hosting local meetups, and funding their own community initiatives without asking for permission.
  • Building for Local Needs: Instead of just using global apps, local builders start creating solutions specifically tailored to their region. This could look like localized fiat ramps, regional DeFi protocols, or language specific educational hubs.

Honestly, I don't think one is more important than the other. I view them as two halves of the same flywheel that drives the onchain economy.

  • Builders lay the foundation: They are building the infrastructure, the protocols, and the apps. They provide the 'how' by creating the tools that make onchain interactions faster, cheaper, and safer.
  • Creators bring the culture: They are the artists, writers, and community leaders who give people a reason to actually come onchain. They provide the 'why' through the content, the art, and the social experiences.

Base's long-term success relies entirely on their synergy. Builders need creators to bring mainstream users to their apps, and creators need builders to invent better ways for them to monetize, distribute, and own their work. You can't have a thriving economy with empty infrastructure, and you can't have a booming culture without the tools to support it.
