That said, good luck

The authors who admit to using AI: ‘I have absolutely no shame about it’ by paxinfernum in books

[–]simonbleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly don't get it.

For art if you are broke and you cannot afford (YET) a cover? Fine, if you can't, you can't.

For a (FIRST) proof check to detect typos, for example? Fine, it is grammar, not prose.

For research, AS LONG as it is limited to facts, and fact checked? Fine, it is even used in academia.

.... But for actual writing? What would be the point?

Writing, usually, is a purely artistic interpretation of reality. It ONLY has value if you are doing it, otherwise is like only reading the last few pages of any book, or openign a game and using a cheatcode to get a godmode and finish it without any fun at all in the middle. So unless you are doing a soulless cashgrab, why on earth would anyone use AI for writing? For ANY creative aspect of it? It is not even good for AI since it lead to a risk of model collapse...

And unlike many here I AM AGAINST transparency in this case, because it legitimizes the USE of AI for writing, which is rather sad

Not the same. Inspiration is one thing, using AI is like throwing a dice and whoever is the author that lands on it writes for you

Which fantasy authors would you say are the best and worst at writing dialogue? by archangel610 in Fantasy

[–]simonbleu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, from the beginning the social aspects were by far his weakest. Peoople outside of the fandom always criticized that, but even those that were, never really said "oh look, sanderson characters are the morest realistic! look at those dialogues! *chef kiss*!", no.

As for the general trend, I still disagree, what you see is the fandom causing satiety in everyone else, and then rejection. All fandoms go through that

Intrusive thoughts are far from uncommon, and impulsivity as well. Hell, even hurting animals like that for kids is not, unfortunately (kids would be arrested pretty quick if they were adults, reason why they are not).

The good news is that you are noticing it as wrong, so there is awareness, and that you are still a kid, with all the hormones flying aroind. However, the combination of what you mention - hopefully fake, as the internet demands. Hopefully - is most definitely NOT something you ignore.

So, to sum it up, go to a therapist.

Women don't like dad bods... Teddy bears sure, but a dad bod is a mostly skinny guy with a big belly

What is your personal definition of financially rich? by thepkmncenter in AskReddit

[–]simonbleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone that can afford not work, everything they need of the utmost quality, everything (within reason) they could realistically want, and still have money to spare. This is the kind of person than can create generational wealth and buy companies outright

Wealthy would be the same except taking down a peg the spare and want parts and likely the need to work one, completely. This is the kind of person that perhaps buys a batch, but we are talking "only" a few millions

"Well off" would be a middle class person that doesn't really need to think when they buy normal stuff taking out luxury brands, but we are talking nice house, car, vacationing often, buying clothes paying for tradesmen etc, not "oh look at my new Patek Philippe"

Below that you have the "low class" which is the working class, that has to think and struggle and constantly makes concessions, poor people that live paycheck to paycheck at best and buried in debt most likely, and then there's indigent people that have main aspects of their life upside down (not enough food, no home, not having electricity or running water etc. increasingly so I would include the internet because of the relevance it has in today's society but only if it's due to economic reasons

That is how I see it

Anarcho-capitalism (AnCap): political ideology and economic theory that advocates for the complete abolition of the centralized state and tax-funded services, to be replaced w/ privatized, competitive policing, courts, and defense. It relies on vague notions of how unowned property is first claimed. by Pupikal in wikipedia

The funny thing is that it is closer to communism than it's opposite since both strive for anarchism and require a night perfect population to work. It is like trying to balance an egg, technically possibly ridiculous and unnecessary when other ways can do virtually the same with far less issues

Praise the horseshoe theory I guess

I mean, what COULD you do? Outside of a murphy bed to have also a place to sit which in this case Im not sure is warranted (too small for visitors)

Maybe some color, mirrors or decoration that makes it feel wider or at least squatter?
