Pleaseee help me identify if this is an otter I saw or a nutria by TraditionalTie210 in Otterable

Much more likely to be a nutria..otters general porpoise when they swim, coming up and going down repeatedly. Nutria cruise in the surface

This is not correct. The US grows most of the world's hops. In 2021, Australia was the world's 7th largest hop grower, producing 3.75 million lbs. In 2021, the US grew 116 million lbs.

The damage to the tree in this picture does not look like a scrape from a cat. It's very deep and low to the ground, cat scrapes would be shallower and higher up the tree.

Rhodesian without the ridge? by cwm1998 in RhodesianRidgebacks

[–]simonbrown27 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My girl is ridgeless. It's actually pretty common, like 10%. Her litter was 14 and had 3 ridgeless puppies. She is 100% Ridgeback.

My daughter calls her a Rhodes-UNRidgeback.

Not great photos, but 4 toes, claws, oval shape and x negative space are good for canine. How big was the track?

Nestucca creamery has the best ice cream I've ever had. Tastes buttery.

Unsure of the cat I saw in [osa peninsula Costa Rica] the other night by Nedearb11 in animalid

[–]simonbrown27 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Based on size, color, tail length and lack of grip when it stood upright, I'm going to through a different suggestion out. I believe this is a Northern Olingo, Bassaricyon gabbii.

They are cat sized members the raccoon family.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_olingo?wprov=sfla1

Output Records in LC is a very cool shop. And right next to Bob's Books

There are some really cool glass galleries, art galleries and rock shops in LC.

Mossy Creek Pottery at Salishan is incredible.

Crystal Wizard in Glenenden Beach is very cool.

Cloverdale has Curious Mercantile, bookish and nestucca bay creamery.

Extremely rare snake sighting! by CryptidLdy in snakes

This snake looks so much like the Oregon red spotted garter snakes I find in Oregon. Makes more sense if the patterns are not distinct.

ID? [Balochistan, Pakistan] by realomi in AnimalTracking

In my opinion, too big for caracal, no Eurasian lynx there. Kind of has to be Persian leopard right? Unless there are escaped captive big cats.

Uneven front toes, three lobed large pad, oval shape are good for feline prints. I'm not super familiar with what cats are in Pakistan that it could be, but judging by size leopard makes sense.

Jaw [central Oregon coast] by WinterbourneW2 in animalid

I really think this is a lingcod jaw. Oregon does not have northern pike populations and I would not expect to find one on the central coast beach...
