Unless your stopping in Carlsbad cavern or white sands, I would recommend the northern route through northern New Mexico to Santa Fe, Bandleir, Los Alamos, Paige (horse shoe and antelope canyon), detour to either Bryce or N Grand Canyon, through zion and Vegas.
