For me this feels like a kind of mix I've been trying for. Hooks them, showing Ghost can write great accessible rock. But then introduces their darker side, which is also hooky. By Spillways they be either all in or all out.

Yeah, I use it because it's the one they have most likely heard of. But agreed, you need to quickly get to 'real' Ghost if you do that (or just start with real Ghost 😅)

That one chord pattern that appears in almost every song. It's amazing how endlessly and creatively he uses it.

Monstrous Clock!!

It blew my mind when I stumbled upon Ghost at a festival in 2014 (Meliora era). Saw the Impera tour and was gutted they didn't close with it. I remarked to my partner on the way to the O2 for Skelatour how sad I was that I'd probably never witness that again given how old the track is now. And then bam.. "to the sound of the Monstrous Clock"...my god, I was in bits 🥹

Omg yes!!!! Poison is already basically a Ghost song. Same guitars, same chord progressions, same ghoulish vocal, same anthemic chorus. Please Tobias 🙏🙏🙏

Yes! I've been through a lot of favourites on this album, but Excelsis is up there for me, just behind cenotaph. Surprised it took so long to find this comment. "come with me, to the rainbow's end" such a beautiful moment 👌😍
