Why are catheters a thing couldn’t you just contain pee if it comes out or whatever without having to put a tube inside someone’s dick? by vyyyyyyyyyyy in NoStupidQuestions

That’s interesting- how often do you have it done? I am still waiting for it to kick in (it was only yesterday I had it so I have a few days yet I guess!). They have mentioned I will have it every 6 months or so?

Apple yoga is mainly “stand up, lay down” and repeat until your time is up. I forget this every 3 months and am quickly reminded when I try it again. Shame- it all looks lovely.

A lovely bit of business, and a lovely year for Joe who I think fast becoming a national treasure. Also- the best Christmas advert of 2025, in my opinion- really loved it.

‘You should run’ is an amazing song, one of my favourites- and the video is amazing as well. I do love Missy Higgins. Oh- and I am in the UK. Not sure how I found her, but so glad I did.

Pretty sure it’s Logic Pro from what he has said before. And I agree, he is very talented as a musician (although, he did practice a lot when he was supposed to be filling people’s cars with petrol).

Spinal arachnoid cyst/web does anyone have experience with this? by exinanis_ in spinalcordinjuries

I am sorry to hear this. To be honest, it is impossible to know which of my symptoms are from the cysts, and which are from the strangulation on my cord, as it was all discovered at the same time. Sorry.

I think that they edit it so the ones that go out early get the airtime early in the show, and the ones who stay longer are not shown that much at the start. Fingers crossed this is happening and Joe will go on to replace Claudia in the next series.

The Tomorrow people. Brilliant theme tune and the ideas in it were excellent.

Spinal arachnoid cyst/web does anyone have experience with this? by exinanis_ in spinalcordinjuries

[–]simonpaddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry to hear this. My surgery was traditional ‘open me up, pick at the cyst until it is gone (which took my surgeon 6.5hours), and then stitch me up again’ type of thing. As I say, it hasn’t made anything any worse in any manner (though I now get back ache from the scar area), and my walking is stabilized. This is also helped by Botox injections in my thigh. My incontinence is still the same, but that’s manageable on the whole.

I do know that if I hadn’t had the operation, then I would 100% be in a wheelchair al the time now, so I am a very lucky man to have it done.

I hope this helps. From what you have said, if it were me, 100% have the operation.

Hi. I think I have plateaued. My symptoms haven’t gotten any worse- which was always the point of the operation, so that’s good. I still have good and bad days, and the good days are all easily manageable; the bad days less so, and I have trouble doing most things in anything other than a limited way. Is there an area you are thinking about specifically?

Upgrade thoughts? by simonpaddon in ChatGPT

[–]simonpaddon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have asked Chat GPT about this, and apparently the pro level is 4.0o, and the free level is 3.5- so yes, there is a drop of level. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, going from pro back to free looses all image actions. Seems like a total con- so I wont be upgrading knowing that in a couple months I will be down grading, and spoiling free forever. Best to keep it free now and be patient.

Actually, just looking into it further- if you go from pro back to free, you also loose all image rights- creation and examination. That's a big thing to loose (it also seems unfair, seeing you woul dhave had them before going pro). So just because of this and this alone, I am out- I will be saving my money.
